Now I searched for the Nexon. It had to be blue +white + black combo to match the colour of the car. Finally I was successful and the result is as shown in the pictures below. It is bigger than the red one which was installed earlier. And it matches the colour of my car very much
Talk about Finesse and enjoying the smaller things in life.
The color match is perfect and I thoroughly enjoyed the pics!.

Hello, I am in dilemma to book XM or XZ variant. Major features I miss in XM are Touch screen infotainment (incl, Reverse parking camera), Automatic AC (with rear AC vents), Driver seat height adjustment, foldable ORVMs. Other features are not really bother me. I can extend my budget till XZ but, is it really worth to pay the extra 1.2L? Please let me know your opinion. Thank you.

You will need ..Touch screen infotainment (incl, Reverse parking camera), Automatic AC (with rear AC vents), Driver seat height adjustment, fold able ORVMs.
Go for XZ variant with eyes closed. Don't hesitate. It may take some effort now from you but in the future ,the comfort these features provide will be worth it.You will not regret it later.

Also XM doesn't have Day Night IRVM I think. Its a must have feature in my opinion. With everyone coming in high beam, not giving this basic necessity is a big miss by Tata. Tata is always bad with features distribution so its worth spending extra for XZ. All those features you mentioned are also worth spending.

Update after a long time. Nexon has been performing all right. There has been no new niggle. I love the lower end torque of this engine. It climbs my slope without any acceletor input since day 1.
It is really difficult to stall this engine. This attribute of Nexon I like very much.
These pictures are of today morning. I got up early and worked on the dirty areas. I am enamoured by the simplicity in side profile and the wheel design.
The bucket seen in the picture is my medium sized cleaning bucket. It often goes under the car like in the picture, demonstrating the stupendous ground clearance Nexon has.

Re: Living the NEXON Life

Seems very serious problem. How is the clutch? Heavy or light?
Even i faced issue multiple times in diff gears.Fortunately I didnt get hit from behind as the gear was stuck in neutral. Finally tata replaced the transmission but I still get scared to drive the car now

If you can afford, then always go for top / better variants. You will get many features which cannot be added in after market. You will not regret later.

With the onset of monsoons trouble with the horns of Nexon started. A week ago one of the horns stopped working altogether. It was the high tone one.The car sounded meek like a scooty!.
I found out that the horn behind the main TATA logo is the culprit. Tata has given a good frontal location for the horn ,but servicing it is very difficult because there is not enough place for your hand to go in and seek out the horn and its connections. I had to open the bumper connections and few bolts and clipping,to easily reach the horn. I took it out completely in my hands so that I can inspect it properly whats wrong with it.
I found out that the connectors had deposits on them. I cleaned them thoroughly with wire brush and sand paper.I also found out that the tuning of the horn is on the lower side. There is a screw for that specifically marked for adjustment .I adjusted it in a manner that its loud yet not hurting to the ears.
Horn brand is MINDA. After reattaching all the wires nicely I put all of it in the reverse order of dismantling. Then I put the bumper clips back.
All is sounding good now.

This is the malfunctioning horn

This can be accessed by removing the TATA logo too

Tone can be adjusted by turning this screw. This is hidden under the gelatin seal !!

Turn the screw anticlockwise for more shrillness and clockwise for decreasing shrillness.
