Feels good when some distantly known person compliments by saying "congrats sir,on your new car!"
I always take it as a positive compliment.Car is already 1 yr old.

Nexon is driving and feeling as usual,ie comfortable and powerful. No nasty surprises as of now.Its just that early morning starts with a puff of pungent smoke. It pollutes the gallery for 15 minutes. My son doesn't like it one bit. Surprisingly my XUV doesn't do this white smoke stuff. But the pungent smell is there all the same.Later on it becomes normal in both of them. That has been there from day one. It's probably unburnt fuel, maybe?

Screw will damage the A pillar. 3m double sided Tape it is.
I have a few doubts...

Where would you place this extinguisher in a 6 airbag car?

How do you mount it safely as it would be terrible if it came off during a crash causing injuries to driver/passenger or affecting the proper deployment of airbags.

It would be better if it was close by to the driver. Can we install any sort of strong under seat storage aftermarket stuff that doesn't affect the warranty?

Nexon has 2 airbags, not 6. If your car has 6,then airbag on the A pillar will be a deterrent for sure.
Secure mounting method is by screws only ,on the bracket provided with it.
Another option is the bottle holder in the driver door.

Well, I'm taking delivery of Ecosport Titanium Plus soon. Fire extinguisher was something I have thought of having in the car. But was worried about the safety of putting it in the cabin due to 6 airbags and what would happen during a crash.

Please confirm first that ecosport has airbags in the A Pillar or not.
If Not then it's easy fix on the A pillar.

Spic n Span Doc! The engine bay is looking fresh from the factory.

BTW huge cloud of smoke, That sounds abnormal. Even my Safari does not do it so. Better to get it checked.

I have heard that aug 2018 update is there for the ECU. Makes it more smooth and less jerky between the gears. But will have to conform from my TASS and then I will revert back.

My Nexon XZA+ AMT Diesel got it updated on 15 Nov 2018.

In this version, Apple Car Play is included; rear camera display quality has improved a lot; FM radio frequencies are displayed differently. After this, I did Chennai - Bangalore drive without any issues.

Tata Nexon gets 5 star safety rating in GLOBAL NCAP crash tests .First India made car to achieve this feat.[clap]
Now I am a happy owner or what.

my elation knows no bounds.
I am extremely happy and proud for TATA and for NEXON.[cheers]
I always wondered why Nexon is so heavy compared to the competition. Some hatchbacks are mere 860 kgs, with more space inside.
Now I have all the answers. That's why it weighs 1300+ kgs.
Congrats TATA.I guessed Nexon is something special the very 1st day I put my hands on the bonnet.
Thankfully I have got rid of all the zero starred marutis in my stable. Now only Mahindra and TATA remain. And they are rated 4star and 5 star respectively.
