I think, After two or three months of launch, TATA may launch updated version of Vista(Sedan Class) in Vietnam. So that their sales may increase, people will also show interest in Vista[:)]
I do not understand this. If you have the latest model in your stable why do you launch an older version. When will Tata understand from past mistakes?[frustration]

What's the logic in it?
On one side they are trying to become all new, parallely they are repeating the same old mistakes... What the hell is this????[frustration][frustration][frustration]

Tata Daewoo to build commercial vehicles in China with a local partner

Tata Daewoo Commercial Vehicle Company (TDCV) is a South Korean based truck maker who specializes in medium and heavy duty cargo haulers.

TDCV, South Korea’s second largest commercial vehicle maker, has been a Tata Motors’ wholly owned subsidiary since 2004. The company has around 75 variants of trucks which are manufactured in South Korea and exported across 60 countries including China. In fact, the Tata Prima global truck that is sold in India is a product developed by Tata Daewoo.

According to Chinese media reports, Tata Dawoo signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China Hi-Tech Group Corporation (CHTC) to locally manufacture commercial vehicles. The CHTC is one of the many organizations which come under the direct supervision of SASAC, a governing body of state owned assets.

The joint venture project will start with the production of heavy duty trucks which will be branded as CHTC-Daewoo. The trucks are to be built at Hi-tech Trucks’ facility in Suizhou, Hubei province. The plant has an annual production capacity of 15,000 trucks.

The Tata Daewoo trucks have a European design and are powered by Cummins engines. The heavy duty trucks are equipped with 16-speed transmission which is developed by S&T Dynamics, South Korea.

With the new partnership, Tata Daewoo will be aiming to increase their presence in the Chinese heavy commercial vehicle market.

TATA is really prepping to launch the Nano here. Got in touch with TATA Motors themselves through Shrawan on twitter. Could just be getting one if launched at a good price.

Tata Nano launched in Jamaica

The car was initially believed to be launched in December 2012 but there has been a delay. The Nano has now been officially launched in Jamaica at the Jamaica Motor Show which was held at Montego Bay.

Metis Motors of Jamaica is appointed as the official importer of the car. Just like in India, the Nano is positioned as the most affordable car. And yes, the official website of Metis Motors convinces the Jamaican customers about the Nano’s ability to tackle poor roads by stating, “Indian roads are a lot tougher than Jamaica. If the car survives there, Jamaican potholes pale in comparison.”

The Nano sold in Jamaica is available only in the top level trim and is powered by the same 624cc, 38 bhp petrol motor. The Nano delivers a claimed mileage of 60 mpg in Jamaica (26 kmpl) which is 1 kmpl higher than the ARAI certified mileage.

The Tata Nano is priced at 990,000 Jamaican Dollars (around Rs. 5.51 lakhs). At this price range, there is simply nothing to compete with the Nano. The second most affordable car in Jamaica is the Kia Picanto (1,800,000 Jamaican Dollars) which is almost twice as much as the Nano.

Wow that roof decal/painting is superb. The price in Jamica is too high, that is more than 100% profit for TaMo.
