2019 end 2020 beginning is not the time line for Nexon EV, let the market mature, bring it in when Tata has fully baked the product.
I don't expect a half baked Nexon EV.
What's the big hurry?
Maruti on the other hand is raking in the moolah with Spresso

Tata Nexon electric goes through multiple tests – Video

Tata Nexon electric is being readied for launch in the coming months. In the buildup, Tata has started releasing video snippets to offer an insight into what’s been going on, and also to provide a bit of info to keep enthusiasts clued.

Tata Nexon EV has undergone a myriad of tests that are mandated. They include full cycle tests at the Torture track, Gradeability test, Water Wading Test, Climate Chamber, Robotic Steering, Lane Change, Skid Pad, and Acceleration and Braking. New Nexon EV features a IP67 rated dust and waterproof battery pack. Below is the new video released by Tata Motors on the Nexon electric testing.

So what I feel is that Electric Nexon and updated Nexon will have similar looks. I was thinking that electric nexon would look drastically different from other nexon. This is in way good for many reasons. Mainly from maintainability.
So what new we have in Electric or New Nexon is modified Headlights with more straight lines than initial curvy profile.
Dual light set up with projector normal throws and Reflector high beam.
Updated DRL set up probably will be on lines with that of BMW, surrounding the lights.
Updated front facia to look more aggressive yet not funky.
rear would be mostly untouched. Probably they will let go of the white humanity border which was an eye sore for many.
Side profile will be pretty much the same, the slingshot line still persistent
Interior I guess not much change, probably the combo digital manual dials we find in Altroz will make way for Nexon.

I'm sure many would get atleast the new taillights, stearing wheel, and instrument cluster, installed in their present Nexon.
Present instrument cluster+ steering wheel is fine. No need to change.
And it will be a tough and tall task to change it. It's going to be niggle prone too. Steering wheel is calibrated. So risky too.
Not advisable for anyone.

What i implied was, the new stearing with flat bottom looks killer, along with cruise control, and the New Tiago inspired instrument cluster is completely digital, I'm sure hacks will be performed by the present day Nexon owners.

Tata Nexon EV To Make Its Global Debut In India

Tata Motors is ready with the Nexon electric vehicle and it is all set to unveil the car on December 17, 2019. This will be the company's first electric SUV in the country. It is of course, not the first electric car from the Tata Motors stable because the Tigor has that distinction. While the unveil will happen in December, the company will launch the car only next year. The Nexon EV will not be the first electric car from the Tata Motors stable, but it will be the first car to be powered by the company's latest Ziptron electric powertrain technology, and an expected range of 250 to 300 km on a single charge. It will use a Lithium-Ion battery, which will be liquid-cooled and IP67 certified for water and dust resistance. Tata Motors has also announced that it will be offering 8-years warranty on the battery, and as for the electric motor, it is a permanent magnet AC motor with regenerative braking which charges the battery on the drive.

Tata Nexon EV reveal pushed to December 19, 2019

Tata Motors has postponed the world debut of the Nexon EV by two days. The electric SUV will now be shown to the public for the first time on December 19, 2019 instead of December 17, as reported earlier. While the reason for this change of date is not known, the SUV will see a market launch sometime early next year. This is the second time the company has changed dates for the event, which was originally scheduled to take place on December 16, 2019. Tata Motors will launch the Nexon EV in phases, with the first phase including cities like Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, New Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai, as we exclusively confirmed recently. The Nexon EV will also debut the mid-cycle styling update for the e-SUV that will also to be seen on the Nexon's petrol and diesel versions. The teaser revealed shows a slightly different design for the front-end.

Tata Motors is all set to unveil the Nexon EV on December 19, 2019 and we'll know more about the technology that powers the car then. However, the company continues to test the Nexon EV in India and it has now been spotted testing once again. The Nexon EV marks the company's entry into the electric SUV segment. It is not the first electric car from the company's stable though as the Tigor electric has already been launched in the market. However, Tata Motors will launch a brand new technology in the Nexon EV which it calls Ziptron.
