The exterior shots doesnt even show one single changes tobe called as facelift eCS indigo [surprise]
Agree with you, this model has very minimal changes than the current one, hope they have worked on the interiors.
Whatever they do with this car even if they put gold platted gear knob , do you guys seriously think this car can give tough competetion to Honda amaze and the likes ? [frustration]

This mode if pitched below Dzire and Amaza it can still generate some decent numbers for the company, but with the current prices which are hovering close to Dzire and Etios it's just digging it's own grave.

The indigo eCS version sales only for its diesel mill and cheaper pricing and no other reasons, forget petrol or even CNG kit along it would make any difference or create any news in there.

With a facelift in Indigo CS, they may be trying to keep it relevant for taxi market and CNG version could be useful for places like Delhi.

Off late Etios has stormed in good numbers in the taxi segment, may be Tata's want to win back some of those customer's through this face lift, i have a feeling that they will do some revision to the pricing as well.

Tata engineers/designers are absolutely pathetic, more so the people in sales and market survey. [surprise]
They have been testing this facelift model for ages and it's just a mild cosmetic up lift and not a comprehensive one,I wonder when TataMo will wake up and start acting swiftly to the market changes.

Fully undisguised Tata Indigo eCS facelift continues testing

Launched at the 2008 Auto Expo as India’s first sub-4m sedan, the Tata Indigo eCS has lost its sheen and it badly needs an upgrade.

The test mule does not carry any camouflage, but then there is nothing that has changed significantly to be hidden.

The front grill now gets new detailing, it gets a dash of chrome which encloses the Tata logo. The front bumper is revised and the fog lamps are now enclosed within new body colored housings. The headlamps now have a smoked effect.

The updated car gets a new set of alloy wheels and a dual tone bumper is the highlight of the rear. The rest of the exterior remains the same. We expect mild improvements to be made to the interior.

Powertrain options however are likely to remain the same. The Indigo eCS is powered by a 1.2 litre 65 bhp petrol and a 1.4 litre 70 bhp diesel engine. The latter’s fuel efficiency is rated at 25kmpl by ARAI.

A lot is happening in the sub four metre space. The Honda Amaze has just landed while the Mahindra Verito Vibe is on its way in the following weeks. The facelift for the Tata Indigo eCS at this juncture seems to be a sensible move.

Spied - Tata Indigo eCS facelift continues testing
