toyota-baleno-a11-codename-petrol-launch-price.jpg

Toyota and Suzuki joined hands to exchange cars and technology. As a part of this deal, Toyota will get to manufacture 4 Maruti cars in India at their plant in Bangalore. These 4 cars are Baleno, Brezza, Ciaz and Ertiga. All four cars will not only be manufactured by Toyota, but will also be sold with Toyota badge at Toyota dealerships in India. These will also be exported.

The first car to be launched by Toyota under this partnership is going to be Maruti Baleno. We have learnt that the Toyota Balenois codenamed internally A11. It will be launched later this month. It is going to be a soft launch. By 26th April dispatch will start, while Toyota dealers will have the test drive cars by 30th April 2019.

Toyota-badged Maruti Baleno to be called Glanza, Launch this month

Recently, it was reported that Maruti Baleno-based Toyota's A11 will launch in June 2019. In a fresh development, Rushlane reports that Toyota's Baleno-based B2-segmenter will be called Glanza and that it will go on sale by the month-end.

The Glanza would be the first product out of Suzuki and Toyota's partnership. Last month, it emerged that Toyota even intends to borrow Ciaz and Ertiga for sale in India & Africa. By 2022, the company will commence the retail of the second-gen Maruti Vitara Brezza under its banner.
Reportedly, production of the Toyota Glanza is in full swing at the Suzuki's Gujarat-based manufacturing facility. Furthermore, it is being claimed that the production of the Baleno-based model will be shifted to TKM’s two plants in Bidadi, near Bangalore shortly. Moving the manufacturing to TKM's plant will not only help the company utilise the production capacity of its manufacturing units to the fullest but will even help free up space at Suzuki's Gujarat plant.
The Toyota Glanza will draw power from the BSIV-compliant 1.2-litre K12B engine. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual gearbox and a CVT. While the top-selling B2-segmenter has recently received the BSVI-compliant 1.2-litre DualJet K12C engine with Smart Hybrid (SHVS) system, it isn't known when this update would make its way into the Glanza. It is being said that the new model will be available in two trims, namely Zeta and Alpha.

Maruti Suzuki and Toyota Kirloskar Motor won't stop at just sharing of vehicles and technologies. A report that surfaced last year stated that the Japanese duo is even considering sharing their service outlets, which should benefit TKM significantly.

Toyota Glanza first official teaser video is out – Hatchin soon

toyota-glanza-teaser-video.jpg

The Toyota Glanza will be the first of the shared models as part of the Toyota Suzuki agreement. At a later date, the Ertiga, Ciaz and Brezza are also slated for sale via Toyota showrooms. Toyota Glanza launch is scheduled for later this month. It will start arriving at dealerships by 30th.

The premium hatchback set to come in with a 3 year/1,00,000 km warranty. This is more than the Maruti Baleno standard warranty of 2 year/40,000 km. In addition to this warranty period, the Toyota Glanza could also be offered with an extended warranty package, which is called 5 year True warranty package. This can be opted for within the period of standard manufacturing warranty and a 7 year Toyota Timeless Warranty package which can be purchased after the completion of the standard warranty.

Getting Toyota cars is good for MSIL but the same cannot be said for Toyota. MSIL cars are not better built compared to that of Toyota and this may damage the brand name in India. Toyota should think twice before selling this tin-can under their badge. I for one, vouch Toyota for their reliability and I'm already not feeling good about selling Baleno with T-badge!!

Found the undisguised pics of Toyota "Glanza"..... have to admit Renault and Nissan have done better job in regards to Duster->Terrano , Micra->Pulse and Sunny -> Scala. Baleno->Glanza is nothing but badge swap!

2019 Toyota Glanza – New spy shots reveal full car, interior and exterior

Toyota-Glanza-side.jpg

The 2019 Toyota Glanza interior has been finally spied. And we bring you the exclusive images of the cars interior and exterior completely revealed. The car was officially teased by the company one-week ago. But now we have got more pictures thanks to our avid reader, Sharoon Ranjith. The car will be made in the Suzuki factory in Gujrat. The images shown here, look like the Glanza has been spotted in parking lots where it has been dispatched to Toyota dealerships. Apart from that, the exterior of the car does not seem to have any changes and appears to be a facelifted Baleno. The car gets a new grille with the Toyota logo and Toyota-centric badging at the rear.

Really sad to see this car. So it looks like, other than changing the badges, there is nothing that is new in the "New Toyota Glanza".
What kind of audience is Toyota targeting, by selling the same car with different badges at a higher price?
From the news , its clear that the car is entirely manufactured by Maruti, so the expectations about better build quality or sheet metal quality is also gone.

Toyota Glanza To Be Launched On June 6, 2019

Ever since Toyota first teased its version of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno, anticipations were building up about the car. For a while, it left us wondering about the modifications in the design, however, the spy shots which surfaced on the internet last month gave away majority of them and the rest we will come to know about in the next month. Toyota has released a new teaser of the Glanza where it has mentioned the launch date which is June 6, 2019. The Glanza is one of the three models Toyota will take from Maruti Suzuki as part of its alliance with its Japanese counterpart.

Glanza to become first Toyota in India with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay

?n=http%3a%2f%2fcdni.autocarindia.com%2fExtraImages%2f20190530054711_Toyota-Glanza-V-infotainmen.jpg

The Glanza’s Smart Playcast system will come with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto making it the first Toyota product in India to get these features. Security concerns have kept Toyota from embracing the systems on a global level thus far, though newer models will start getting them. The Playcast system will not come with onboard navigation, though the feature can be used via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. The Playcast system will also feature voice commands, USB, Bluetooth and AUX. Both variants of the Glanza are likely to come with a four-speaker and two-tweeter setup.
