IMO, if you want to enjoy driving, it should be Ford aspire/freestyle. This is from my own experience of having 2 TDs of Freestyle. Same 1.2L engine shared with Aspire.
Haven't driven other cars but I think from refinement and brand value, it would be Amaze.
Altroz would also be good if not as good as Amaze in terms of engine, nvh etc. But definitely better from safety point of view.
Even Tigor wouldn't be a bad choice if you are a sedate driver.
Not sure about Glanza, may be better options are there in terms of build quality.

I wanted to know which engines among them feels underpowered for that car ? Also, would like to know which car among these is better for overtaking & cornering? Does hatchback handles better than compact sedans / notch backs?

@bbarve, I read, gear ratios are different in freestyle & aspire. How was your overtaking experience of freestyle?

I think Altroz/Tigor may feel bit underpowered (petrol), though sedate drivers may not feel much about it. But yes, it takes some planning for overtaking on highways for me. I read that Turbo variants are in the making for Tiago/Tigor/Altroz, that would make it much better in terms of engine power.

Talking about cornering, I don't feel any problem in cornering in my Tigor. It has CSC (corner stability control). May be hatchback owners can also share their cornering experience.

It was smooth. No issues in overtaking. Car is responsive and eager to move forward with a just little tap on accelerator. I TDed it on highway as well as city roads too. Can't say about Aspire but had a funny experience with it. While going for TD from the showroom to the stockyard where FS was kept, the SA took me there in Aspire (automatic). Don't remember it was diesel or petrol, but I had couple of heart in mouth occasions, due to the speed and accelerations (take it positively [;)]). I think the SA wanted to show how Aspire also moves swiftly in the traffic. [:D]

@bbarve,
Thanks, will FS /Aspire acomodate three 5f 7 inch medium built adult ladies on rear seat comfortably Vis a vis Tigor /jazz.?
Today, took TD of Glanza on highway /Ghat somewhat similarly like I drive my previous cars Rapid TDI /Aveentura diesel , I am satisfied with everything but it gave me lightheadness ( not nausea but a feeling which occurs before motion sickness) This is important from my 2 family members who are prone for motion sickness. How's FS /Aspire on this front?

Rear seat comfort is good for medium built passengers. The headroom and the legroom is good. So is the under-thigh support. There is also parcel tray available in the middle seat.
Can get little congested though for 3 large sized adults. Good for 2.

Frankly I don't remember it much now as TD was taken almost a year back, but not faced it at that time. May be owners can better share their experience.

Checked Aspire, freestyle today, Aspire rear backrest has 5/6 fingers extra width as compared to freestyle. No petrol TD Aspire /figo was available hence took TD of Figo petrol(GC 174) with 4 adults onboard on a city road, & practically no road (WIP),having driven 1.5 L km on my Rapid, Avventura till date, I felt at home. Need to TD these fords on highway & Ghat.

Today, at PPS FORD showroom L, test drove Petrol Freestyle for 2 to 3 Kms. , didn't felt that the engine is underpowered, also I found suspension to be better than ecosport (not very hard) , quite Fiat-ish. It was way better than the Toyota Glanza. Need to TD it on highway & Ghat section. Aspire was not available for TD.
Later, I went to Deccan Honda showroom, but Jazz, WRV was not available for TD. I checked a Jazz automatic, the experience to change the gear modes ( D to P, P to R etc) was obnoxiously noisy (as if I was trying to move some heavy furniture, and the bottom of it was scrapping against the floor) enough for me to doubt the Honda's reputation for refinement.
Later, went to NEXA showroom, Scross was not available for TD. Checked the display car, found that the rear backrest width is equal to Ford Figo/Freestyle. Now 1.3 petrol Scross / and Diesel Scross are discontinued & its available only in 1.5 L petrol.
