leaving shenzhen was fine, there was this uncle i guess 65 years old at every immigration he needed to go for a leak, the joke passed around was he wanted to get rid of the illegal immigrants. Getting to the station was fun we had to get our bags down a few steps and then clear immigration and walk the border of shenzhen hong kong. Being in a restricted area i dint take chances of clicking the river and the boundary line. Once into hong kong it felt better, people who can speak english since i was all worked out i got my self an iced tea, and it tasted way better then the lip tons we get here even the coke had better taste. a metro ride all the way into hum hong. the PLan now was to take us around on a tour and check us into our rooms at night i hated that idea but as it was a group have to keep shut.
our first stop was at this jewelry factory no cameras allowed in there, i ended up buying a chinese zodiac chain. From there we head out for our lunch. boy was i getting fed up of the same buffet menu, chicken, some potato vegetable and mind you they use sweet potatoes, some dal and some other vegetable and rotis and the most fixed item would be kheer and it would be just too simple, i like payasam more the way south indians make it. As always in every group there will be an over smart guy and a guy who boasts alot. The oversmart guy has a major part in this story and will be told when i come to that part.
Regarding the cuisines there let me tell you it was pure chinese and the smell was enough to make anyone puke. I love any meat as long as it sounds fine. Duck was yummy, crab was awesome and the lobster bisque soup was heaven.
An aunty say in her 60's looking at the display of ducks at a restaurant asked me why is one duck whitened the other dark brown, i wanted to tell her like our tandooris one red and the other white the same applies for it but anyways i was irritated by a few others i said one is daffy duck and the other donald duck and all the kids start giggling, The aunt understood what i meant when we visited disney land the next day.
ok back to the current post. we head of to victorias peak which is in central hong kong, i had my eye on central hong kong since i wanted to visit international finance centre mall which houses a huge apple store and buy me a new macbook.
victorias peak is way above sea level and we can choose road to go up ora tram ride and that tram reminded me of our mumbai ki local trains jam packed and it goes up a steep incline in full torque it felt amazing.
over at victorias peak we have madam tussauds wax museum i will add just a few images of that and theres a point on the peak where we can se hong kong at night it was wonderful
the images come up in a new post as i haven't finished upsizing them.
probably after dinner.
