Very interesting exterior design, and clean neat dashboard, if priced well this can do wonders for renault. It is to be noted that the width of Triber is on par with current Ertiga.

Just tried a small edit on the rear styling, this was a 2 minute attempt on phone though, so apolagies for the quality. I have placed both the images, original as well as edited for a comparison.

Gonna be popular with Taxi segment (Uber,OLA). The engine figures though have significant values in power and torque , although its 1L engine , but for normal Indian buyer , one will always think it as a small engine .
(Even the patented Ecoboost engine have few takers )

IMHO the cab segment will have many takers irrespective of the engine, all they bother about is the mileage and this will return about 18 kmpl approximately !
If I were in the market looking to buy a hatchback I would be very much attracted to it considering the huge boot space it offers while seating 5
But the only thing that will put me off is the 1 litre engine ! Put in a 1,5 L diesel and boy it will do wonders !

Renault Triber: A close look

hx?n=http%3a%2f%2fcdni.autocarindia.com%2fExtraImages%2f20190620105705_Renault-Triber-blue-front.jpg

The Triber is targeted at younger buyers and those with a need for flexibility, versatility and practicality from their cars. We’ve had a close look at the Triber, and spent some time sitting in it. Here’s our first impression.

Designed with close cooperation between Renault’s design centres in India and France, the Triber conforms to the carmaker’s global styling language and, in effect, has a very international look to it. The Renault lozenge takes pride of place up front and there’s plenty of chrome at the grille too, something that lends the Triber an upmarket look. Shapely headlights (with projector elements) fuse into the grille and sit under a clamshell bonnet. LED DRLs are also part of the package.

As for transmissions, a 5-speed manual gearbox will be standard fit on the Triber and there will also be the option of Renault’s Easy-R AMT automatic unit based around the same 5-speed unit. The powertrain promises to be frugal too, with an ARAI-certified fuel economy of 20.5kpl.

The end product does not carry the lines of their earlier rendering. Also, not sure why Renault is not using a more powerful engine with better torque to run this 7 seater?

Space is important & the rails & flexi seats are doing what they can in a sub-4 metre #Triber, but lugging power cannot be replaced or used from existing smaller hatch. Hatches today have 85-95 BHP with 110-125 Nm, no point underpowering engine for better mileage when intent is to move people with luggage. Drivability & safety will take a hit in #Triber

This will struggle very badly on the hill inclines with that underpowered engines and would stall with 7 people on steel hillstation roads. Forget using AC on this vehicle. 91 NM torque on a 7 seater is a joke. Buy only if average family weight in your family is 40-50kg.

Renault Triber Spotted Undisguised Ahead Of Launch Next Month

7u0mi6v4_renault-triber-testing_625x300_28_July_19.jpg

The Renault Triber will be the newest subcompact multi-seater to hit the Indian market and is slated for launch next month. The all-new offering was unveiled last month and is an India-specific model offering seven seats on a budget. Ahead of its launch, the new Triber has been spotted undisguised and can be seen in two colour options - orange and red. Renault is not calling the Triber an MPV and instead is aiming to take on the B-segment hatchbacks like the Maruti Suzuki Swift, Hyundai Grand i10, Ford Figo and the likes. Spotted in the top-end trim, the Triber can be seen with alloy wheels, projector headlamps, chrome grille and more.
