Hi All,

I need a system for soft and clear audio in the car, But one thing I need which is very important is Bluetooth in the HU.

I need a 2 din HU with bluetooth option so that it can allow me to dial any number(i don't need touch screen HU). I need pick and reject button in the HU so that i can easily manage all calls.

Please advise me which HU and speakers will suit me best.

Please find below link for blaupunkt HU but this HU is not available in india.
I need similar kind of HU for my car.

Blaupunkt: Bluetooth Tuners

the only BT hands free HU is know is pio 6150BT & its a great HU.

Car Audio

before recommending anything, you have not mentioned your budget. music systems range from 20k to 2 lakhs.

you said you need a soft & clear sound, do you need a sub?

a good setup in a normal budget would be:
Front comps - Illusion EL 6.1 - 6000/-
Rear coaxials - JBL/GZ/polk - 4500/-
4 ch amp - JBL/Alpine/Pioneer - 6500/-
installation - 1000/-
total - 18,000/-

If you add a sub:
sub - GZ 30T - 6500/-
sub box - 1000/-

total: 25,500/-

HU you have mentioned is not 2 Din.

I don't need Sub and amp. I need best front and rear speakers with 2 Din HU with all phone features.

My Budget is around 25 K .

the alpine ixa and pio 6150 are good one . have NOT tried or tested the kenwood , but must be good though

Go for alpine (of the two , compared with pio)

Ida is single right? so do 6150.

Confused ? try pioneer 2 din (avh series) totally different series unlike other pioneer the sound output signal is superb

ilango,

pioneer avh series don't have inbuilt bluetooth.

Alpine IXA have bluetooth functionality.

Do u have any idea about price of alpine iXA-W404E???

Alpine makes better but expensive HUs. go for alpine.

most importantly, its okay to not have a sub (if you dont need the thump), but please do not avoid the amp. trust me, an amp is needed.

first of all, for a clear sound, you will need components. co-axials will never sound as good as components. so, you will definitely need an amp to run the components. comps will sound flat without an amp.

better install two comps, both in front & rear but you will have to extend your budget for that.

anyways, you can opt for the same combo:

Front comps - Illusion EL 6.1 - 6000/-
Rear coaxials - JBL/GZ/polk - 4500/-
4 ch amp - JBL/Alpine/Pioneer - 6500/-
installation - 1000/-
total - 18,000/-

your budget can extend a bit. you can save money by compromising on the amp. you can buy a 2ch amp instead of a 4ch amp but you will save max 2000 Rs., wont make much of a difference.

i would say, opt for a 4ch amp & power the front comps & rear co-ax through it, it will sound cleaner & better.

I already have 4ch alpine amp with me, so i'll install that in my car.

For front and rear should i go for below speakers as mentioned by you:-

Front comps - Illusion EL 6.1 - 6000/-
Rear coaxials - JBL/GZ/polk - 4500/-

What about HU???? what is the price of alpine ixa 404???

So out of these HU's should i go for alpine only...

nik ,

the ixa 404 cost 35000/- [almost approx]
ixa 407 cost 9 to 10 k more , difference is screen size.

good idea abt the front illusion component . can try hertz for same level performance at cheaper rate .

do not go for polk db series. Other than this series everything is fine in polk.

And the alpine amp you use is fine . Using them is your wish as amp is not needed for this set up.

If you find this amp idle , never imagine this to use for sub woofer.

My other suggesion
Kenwood -8043 bt cost about 42k
Has a 5.1 pre channel out put 5.1

or jvc 800 series - these have on par output like a alpine head unit. Must be some 6 to 8 K less!

And do not compromise on cable- use branded , i suggest audison cables / soche

Yep go for it. Use good wire/cables Not the one which is in car , or supplied with speakers, jbl(btw no harm in using them [evil]) . Wires do change the quality of sound.

The jbl at rear produces more thump effect than clarity , so pass lower ampere to it . hmmm adjust accordingly , your installer must help you for sure

I think the 4 channel amp may not be needed , Use them if you find it idle in home . My advice is Do not use it for sub woofer

yes nik, the above configuration is good. if possible, opt for ground zero co-axials in the rear.

i agree with ilango that good cables are a must for clear sound. some good brands are monster, scosche, etc.

@ ilango: i think hertz is more expensive than illusion. illusion comps cost 6500 whereas hertz cost upwards of 10,000.

Nik, Karol Bagh Market is good for shopping car accessories. There are quite a few branded stores out there, so you can probably get the said model but avoid Palika Market (Opp. Hayaat). They loot the newbies and I'm telling this from my experience.
