The Hyundai i20 earned Euro NCAP a maximum 5 star safety rating and scored an impressive six out of a maximum seven points in the "safety assist" category, receiving top marks for its belt reminder and electronic stability programme which minimises the risk of skidding by braking individual wheels. The i20 named Euro NCAP Top five safest cars for 2009 which based on Euro NCAP maximum five star awards and their overall score.

i20 was designed in Germany to ensure that this car has European specification and safety standard. i20 bagged the What Car? Car of the Year Awards 2010 under the category Best Supermini Buy £9000-£11,000.

Hyundai i20 was awarded with the ECO Car Magazine Car Of The Year-2010.

by build quality, if you mean the general "heavy" feel of the car or the "thud" of the door, then the i20 lags behind fabia, polo & punto. but in overall safety, as shynish said, it is very good.

Well yeah these are the reasons i love Verna and it has all that i require except safety! Even the top-end model in Verna does not come with airbags![frustration]
