Toyota Fortuner takes flight, lands on Honda City, Hyundai Verna – Video

toyota-fortuner-flying-india-5.jpg

A CCTV footage shows that a Toyota Fortuner SUV coming towards a T junction at a decent speed. The SUV fails to slow down as it approaches the junction. In no time, the SUV takes a flight and lands on two cars (Honda City and Hyundai Verna), which were in a designated parking spot.

It is clear that the Toyota Fortuner approached the T-Junction too fast that even without the perpendicular impact from the sedan, it would have crashed into those unfortunate Hyundai Verna and Honda City which were parked. Watch the video below.

The fact that a full sized SUV took flight due to a side impact appears counterintuitive but if we look closely, the Fortuner hit the footpath head-on at a serious speed lifting the front end. Though the probability of such a thing happening in a real world condition is extremely thin, the Fortuner received frontal (due to tyres hitting the kerb) and side impacts at exactly the same instant, thus destabilizing it enough to fly like in a Hollywood movie sequence.

According to a local news report, the driver of the Fortuner is a 23 year old man. He has been injured and he was already suffering from an unknown health issue. This could explain why the SUV failed to slow down as it approached the T-Junction.

Mahindra Scorpio hits the divider at high speed: Flies & crashes into a bike

mahindra-scorpio-crash-featured.png

The incident happened in Junagadh, Gujarat. The video shows a CCTV footage capturing a Mahindra Scorpio flying in the air. The accident happened on a relatively empty highway. The video shows that the highway was blocked with the help of barricades but the reason for blocking is not known. The CCTV footage further shows that a bike slowing down and entering the opposite, wrong lane of the highway. A second SUV also slowed down to enter the wrong side of the road and continuing ahead.

However, the Mahindra Scorpio did not bring down the speed of the vehicle and kept on going at a high speed. The vehicle swerved and then hit the divider of the road. The video shows that the Mahindra Scorpio flew in the air, crashed into a motorcycle, killing both the rider and pillion. The high-speed accident is really scary and shows why everyone should be extra vigilant on the highways.

Another MG Hector on fire in Delhi last week. The car was less than 1 month old. The cause of the fire is not known. Owner stated that there were accessories fitted at the dealership. It took about 15 minutes before fire tenders came and extinguished the fire. It could have been put out much faster if there was a fire extinguisher in the car.

December 2019:
This narrow and crowded street in
Kanyakumari with multiple vehicles parked on the side proved too much for this bus to handle. There were multiple injuries but no fatalities.
Narrow crowded streets always pose a problem for big vehicles.

It seems the oncoming Bus is at fault. It hit a tempo traveller (or a mini lorry?) and then squeezed in that gap possibly scratching with the other mini bus.
Also from the video it says that the accident happens in Kuzhithurai in Kanyakumari district and not in Kanyakumari (Kuzithurai to Kanyakumari is about 50kms away)

This is why kids should always be supervised when they are near a road. This child wanders onto a road and is hit by a bike that thankfully slows down enough to prevent serious injury. It's still unclear who the parents or guardians were in this video!
The incident is from Coimbatore in Tamilnadu in January 2020.

This freak accident was definitely preventable. The lady pillion rider opens the umbrella when the two wheeler is riding in the rain. This causes her to literally fly off the bike and fall hard on the road. She appears to be injured.
There are 3 people including a child on the bike and none are wearing helmets. The bike is also driven quite fast given that it is raining. All these factors played a role in this accident.

I was surprised to see how quickly this Renault Kwid catches fire after an accident. It occurred in Surat, Gujarat
The driver loses control and rams into a pole. It immediately catches fire. The fire spreads quickly, but thankfully bystanders help the occupants escape from the car immediately. Any comments on what caused the fire?

It looks like I am the only active person on this thread. Here we go anyway! Drunken driving even on small roads at slow speeds can be deadly.
The driver of the yellow car was apparently under the influence. He loses control of the car when he starts moving (probably due to another car close to him) and hits bikes and pedestrians. One person was trapped briefly under the car and injured badly. There were several other injuries too.

Yes, it is one of the worst accident reported in the recent times. Media reports that it is the Lorry who is in fault.

The container truck hit the middle portion of the bus. Most of the people who died were seated in this part.

According to preliminary reports, the Kerala registered lorry, which was coming from the opposite direction, was attempting to overtake when it lost control, ran over the divider and rammed into the bus. The bus has been completely damaged in the accident, especially the right side of the vehicle.

Also reported that the lorry guys ran away after the accident
