Re: Nissan Micra XV Diesel Ownership Review: 20 Months - 25,000 Kms & Counting

Thank you Vibhor for your help. Yes, even i feel dent can be fixed but what about bumper joint (picture 2 above) ? Can it get back to its normal position?
Yes. It can also be fixed if the clips are not broken.

Can anyone suggest me good local shop in pune for fixing that bumper issue.
Please refer to link provided above by Iron Rock.

Car is back in shape [clap]
Mr. Sudhir Gaikwad did fantastic job. He visited my place and recovered dent in about 30-45 mins. He has unique method of dent removal. Charges for bumper dent - 1300/-

Re: Nissan Micra XV Diesel Ownership Review: 46 Months - 49,000 Kms & Counting

An Update after a long break! Micra completed 49,000 Kms recently. I will try to take picture of 50000 Kms landmark. [:)]

So far experience has been good with the car.
1. Had to replace the stalk battery with new one at @ 40K Kms as the car refused to start one fine morning.
2. Caliper assembly was replace under warranty as there was some noise issue reported from front brakes.
No major update apart from these two.

Since car is approaching 50K Milestone I am thinking about changing or possibly upsizing the tyres as current tyres already given off.
Current tyres are of Size 165 70 R14 (Maxxis Company - Really bad tyres - make lot of noise on highways)

I am also thinking of moving to alloys from steel rim, so even upsizing should not be a problem.

I have following upgrades in my mind, but not sure about their performance, braking, comfort etc. I personally like big width tyres something like 205 or 195 mm. Comfort, braking, control, looks are my prioritites here.

1. Current Wheel - 165 70 R14
Current RR - 293.3

2. Tyre Size:195/60 R14 86H
New RR - 294.8 (0.51%)

3. Tyre Size: 185 65 R14
New RR - 298.05 (1.62%)

4. Tyre Size: 175 60 R15
New RR - 295.5 (0.75%)

5. Tyre Size - 195 55 R15
New RR - 297.75 (1.52%)

I have selected few tyres having % change less than 2%. Can you please suggest suitable profiles for this upgrade? You can also suggest profiles which is not listed above. Looking forward for some experiences on tyre upgrades.

Also if you can suggest some better trusted shops in Pune to get better deals on Alloy wheels and tyres, it will be really helpful.

Hi,
Whether you have changed the battery for not started on a day? You haven't tried recharging it and use. Since your car is just around 3.5 years old and 40000 kms done, so only just asking in curiosity.

I changed the battery itself, did not even consider recharging the existing one. It did not even come to my mind. Probably I was under the impression that @4 years is more than expected for stock Battery.
