Nissan will launch the next-generation Juke on 3 September, as previewed by this shadowy teaser image. The outgoing Nissan Juke has been a staple of the Japanese brand’s line-up for almost a decade, and its replacement looks set to adopt similarly adventurous styling, as well as new hybrid technology. It's expected to go on sale in 2020, with prices similar to those of the current model.

I loved the funky styling of the earlier Gen Juke, and was on the lookout for a used one, when I was in the Gulf.
However, going by the funky looks of the Nexon concept at the 2016 Auto show, bought this, a happy man.

2020 Nissan Juke price and specs

Nissan Australia has confirmed pricing and specification for its second-generation Juke small SUV ahead of a local showroom debut in June.

The new Nissan Juke will be available in four trim levels – up from two on offer in the previous generation (excluding the Nismo variant).

The entry level Nissan Juke ST will start from $27,990 plus on-road costs, with the ST+ and ST-L increasing to $30,740 and $33,940 respectively before on-road costs. The range tops out with the Nissan Juke Ti, which costs $36,490 plus on-road costs.

All variants of the new Nissan Juke are powered by a 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine (84kW/180Nm) driving the front wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with paddle shifters. Unlike the current generation, Nissan will not offer an all-wheel drive variant for the new generation Juke.

Inside, the new Nissan Juke gets an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and voice recognition. A 4.2-inch digital display in the instrument cluster of ST and ST+ is upgraded to 7.0-inches in the ST-L and Ti.

The ST-L and Ti also score a leather-accented steering wheel and shift knob, with the Ti getting additional Alcantara on its dashboard and other panels.
