The key variant is XLplus. If Nissan can price this variant just a shade below 10lakhs ex-showroom, only then can some dent be made into Ecosport by competing with it's Titanium variants.

Please try to understand tax structure for sub 4m car vs 4+m car, before expecting Nissan to compete against ecosport on price basis.
For majority of custemers, with budget 8 L+, Rs 50 k really doesn't matter if the car is offering extra comfort.(eg. 3 adults on rear seat)


Also Ecosport is made for small group of unconfused customer about their requirements who wants a car which doesn't bother about potholes and comfort for family of 4 people and vfm on spares prices and urban looking interiors. To be precise, it is SUV ish hatch. But many people are booking it who are unsure about their requirements.

While duster and Terrano are offering more than what ecosport offers . And these are SUV ish sedans on comfort front. And booking customers definitely know their requirements and also know how much they need to compromise on requirements.
