The new-generation Renault Duster has been spotted for the first time. It is bigger and wider than before. The new-generation Duster will sport seven seats and will be longer by about 15 cms, states Andreas who spotted this vehicle. While the Duster facelift is being tested in India, the new-generation is already under work and will be launched in 2017 in India.

The new-generation Duster will be larger in size and will get a new-generation of petrol and diesel engines. The existing 1.5-litre K9K engine will be tweaked for better performance and higher fuel efficiency too. It will be even offered with an automatic transmission on the diesel engine.

Renault is looking at making India as one of its largest markets, so we can expect them to get the new-generation Duster in a short span of time. Expect the new-gen Duster to be launched in India around 2017

Re: 7-seater Renault Duster on test

Yes the rear hang seems to have extended by Renault to fit those extra two sits to make it as seven seater, but i dont know how much comfortable that would be with the roof linings sloping down at the rear.
Also the extra hang would make the handling different from what current duster drives as and is valued for.Lets see when does the company launches this variant for Indian market.

Next-Gen Renault Duster To Launch in India in 2018

A 5+2 variant could be on the cards.
A report on the Economic Times states that the next generation Renault Duster will enter the market sometime in 2018.

According to an earlier report, Renault has finalized the design direction of the next generation Duster. The Renault Design Central Europe (RDCE) in Bucharest is working on the model with the support of Renault Technologie Roumanie. According to reports, the next generation Duster could sport an extended wheelbase and offer seating for 7 occupants in a 5+2 fashion.
RDCE, which is working on the design of the new Duster, has a new General Manager in Mr. Jean Phillipe Salar, a Renault veteran for 19 years. Apart from products like the Clio, Megane, Scenic and Fluence, Mr. Salar has also worked on the Renault Kwid, which went on sale in India last month with a rugged design packaged in a small car layout.

Appears Like some kind of Jugaad rather than proper Ground-up designed 7 seater.
Just 15 cm more can accomodate more seats? Looks like the same useless Kiddie seats as on XUV 500 or others of this segment.
