The next-generation Nissan Sunny/Versa sedan has been spied testing in the USA. This will be the most major update for the car since 2015 and will essentially be a next generation for one of Nissan’s oldest nameplates.

Next-gen Nissan Sunny (2020 Nissan Versa) to be revealed on 12 April

(While the current-gen Nissan Versa is the same car as the India-spec Nissan Sunny, the next-gen model isn't India-bound. The new model would feature the company's signature V-motion grille and should look far more upmarket. (In picture - 2016 Nissan Lannia).

It has come to light that the next-gen Nissan Sunny (2020 Nissan Versa) will be unveiled on April 12. The all-new model will be introduced at Rock the Ocean’s Tortuga Music Festival in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

The Nissan Versa available in the USA is visually the same car as the India-spec Nissan Sunny. That said, the next-gen model for the USA market isn't India-bound. Nissan could replace the current version with a CMF-A+ based model in case it wishes to take another crack at the premium sedan segment.

All-New 2020 Nissan Sunny – Everything You Need To Know

The front gets V-motion grille of Nissan along with swept back LED headlamps and the bumper design is also similar to the Micra. The fog lamps are placed lower on the bumper and the company has completely redesigned the side, which gets a coupe-like design. The rear door handles are position on the conventional position. The lower part of the bumper gets a black finish and integrated reflector on either end. The rear design is similar to the current generation Hyundai Verna. Overall, the exterior design theme is really attractive and the company might offer a dual-tone colour theme to spice up the exterior. The interior design is shared with new Micra and Kicks.
