Re: New Volkswagen Jetta 1.4 TSi Coming in April

Well,120 bhp for such a heavy car.We want the 1.8 TSi like in the Laura.
Still the TSI engine can do quite well because of the meaty mid range it has got due to the turbocharger. In other words you can say that this car will definitely get a mid range(1500-3500 rpm)better than the Civic and Corolla.

1.4 is too less IMO.. I hope it isn't like the altis diesel, which is underpowered!

So that means an on road price of 15 Lacs for the base petrol model. The top end diesel is already under equipped, so I can imagine that the base petrol will be devoid of all features.

This does not look value for money to me. Better buy the Civic or spend a bit more and buy the Laura TSi with the 1.8 engine.

Yes, the pricing is quite disappointing. The engine was cut down but not the price, proportionately. A good pricing strategy could have won this car a lot of market share

Re: New Volkswagen Jetta 1.4 TSi Petrol is Coming

Both TSi Classic and Ambition are priced less than this car and offer 160 bhp+some 24-25 kgm of torque despite being a petrol.
Now who wants this 1.4 TSi when they can get the 1.8 TSi for even lower price and a car hat is better to drive too.
