Furthermore, there are also three optional Modulo accessories packages available to give the car a more thrilling custom appeal. To see the detailed images of the 2020 Honda City Modulo from the 2019 Thai Motor Expo, go to this link.

The 2020 Honda City's main features include LED headlights, 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, shark fin antenna, LED tail lights, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Siri Voice Control. It also receives a new twin clock analogue cluster with a multi-information display (MID).

2020 Honda City LED headlights teased – India launch in March

2020-honda-city-india-teaser.jpg

Honda Car India has teased the next-generation City sedan in a new image. The teaser image does show a portion of the front fascia, which looks almost identical to the Thai-spec model that was unveiled back in November 2019. The India-spec Honda City gets LED headlights, seen on board the RS variant of Thai-spec City. The lower bumper of India-spec City is same as that of Thai-spec City regular variant.

The 2020 Honda City gets full-LED headlamps, bigger radiator grille and extra-sculpted bumpers compared to the outgoing BS4 model. The roof is much flatter. This translates to a better sense of roominess and airiness inside the car. The Thailand-spec Honda City debuted with 15-inch wheels, but Indian examples might sport 16-inch wheels. In fact, all the 2020 Honda City test mules that were spied in recent times across the country drove on 16-inch wheels.

India-Bound 2020 Honda City Reviewed In Video – How Was It Like?

2020-honda-city-rear-1.jpg

Honda Cars India will be launching the new-generation version of its popular City sedan in the domestic market late next month or in April, and it has been on sale internationally already. This gives us a preview of what the model is all about as overseas journalists have reviewed it.

The review linked below is from Thaiautonews Youtube channel as the RS variant of the 2020 Honda City was put into test. While acknowledging the handling characteristics and the sedan being powerful, the reviewer says the suspension felt too soft. He liked the steering feel and its responsive behaviour as well. He further said that the new generation Honda City has a spacious interior and these are just his observations and we would give you a comprehensive look into the sedan when we get our hands on it. The 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine used in the RS variant may not make it to India anytime soon though.

Honda Cars India will take the wraps off the fifth-gen City sedan on March 16, 2020. According to sources, bookings are also expected to officially commence on the same day as the unveil. The company had recently released a first teaser of the new City(see post no.18).

The new City for India will look quite similar to the one that made its world premiere in Thailand late last year. However, Honda India will incorporate country-specific changes. The car’s interior will see tweaks such as dual-tone shades and faux-brushed aluminum trim to make the car look more premium. A lighter shade will be used for the seats, at least on the higher variants. The top-spec City ZX for our market will come with a sunroof, 16-inch alloy wheels and full-LED headlamps as standard.

Honda City 2020
My personal Opinion:
The car looks STUNNING, thank God for the Honda team to reduce the Chrome Obsession.
The car is bigger and wider than the previous version.
The interiors are spacious and fresh, especially the top variant loaded with all the bells & whistles.
BS6 Powerful and Reliable Petrol & Diesel engines.
I am sure the car is going to be a hit.
Hope the pricing is right.

2020-honda-city-india-launch-3.jpg

The much-awaited fifth-gen Honda City (seventh-gen globally) was supposed to make its official debut in the country on 16 March 2020. The event was set to be held in parallel with the sedan’s national media drive, in Goa. However, due to the ongoing Corona Virus scare, the media drive has been cancelled. In an email, a top official at Honda Car India stated, “We had been closely monitoring the situation related to the enormity and seriousness of COVID-19. Given the Government advisory and more specifically today’s advisory from the Goa government, I wish to inform you that we have cancelled the test drive event.”

Upcoming New Honda City Launch Postponed to May 2020

2020-Honda-City-Top-Changes.jpg

New-gen Honda City was scheduled to make India debut on March 16, 2020, but the unveiling event was cancelled due to COVID-19. The sedan is scheduled to be launched in April; however, the national lockdown will further push the launch of the new-gen Honda City. It is expected that the new model will now arrive in our market in May 2020.

The launch will only happen if situation normalises. Not just City, a good number of car launches has also been delayed due to outbreak of Coronavirus.

2020 Honda City To Get LaneWatch Camera In India, Feature Details Leaked

2020-honda-city-features-1-3-1536x864.jpg

In a normal scenario, we’d have driven the 2020 Honda City by now and would have detailed all features on offer. However, with the City’s launch standing deferred in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, there are still a fair few details not known about the India-spec car. We’ve just got our hands on a leaked brochure that does give some vital new info on the top-spec City ZX’s features list.

2020-honda-city-features-1-2.jpg

Starting with safety equipment, the City ZX will get LED headlight, LED tail-lights, six airbags, traction control and electronic stability programme and hill-start assist. New to the City will be a low-tyre-pressure warning system, as well as three-point seatbelts for the rear-middle passenger. A reverse camera will be part of the package, too, in addition to which the City ZX will also feature Honda’s Lane Watch camera, as seen on the Civic. The segment-first feature will comprise a camera on the left wing mirror that will relay feed to the centre screen. It’s a handy feature in India where errant road users tend to overtake from the wrong side.

The 2020 City will also get an upgrade, in terms of the infotainment package. The City ZX will feature an 8.0-inch touchscreen system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, and interestingly, the model will also be the first car in India to be compatible with Alexa Remote. Honda will also offer its app-based connectivity technology - Honda Connect - that will have a telematics control unit that can remotely share car status details.

2020 Honda City Launch Details Out; Will Be Launched In Both Petrol And Diesel Variants

The fifth-generation Honda City would have already gone on sale in India last month. However, the entire world is bogged down in the unprecedented Coronavirus crisis to prevent which the nation is undergoing a prolonged lockdown. In fact, in the first 45 days of the lockdown no commercial activity or even small gatherings were allowed and the entire auto industry came to a standstill, recording zero domestic sales and production in April. Hence, it was not feasible for Honda Cars India to launch a product as important as the all-new 2020 City in this period.

I'm glad to know that Honda has retained the petrol engine in City for our market, that is 1.5L i-VTEC. Although I believe it is four cylinder engine; I couldn't find info about the same. Can please confirm this or see if you can find official engine specs?
