The new Grill resembles Audi Q series. Though it looks good, I expected something different from Chevy & yeah, the rear remains the same. If Chevy prices it over 20L, it will be killed by Fortuner 2012, if it is priced around 15l (very less chances), XUV W8 will get tough competition.

I dont think a 15 lakh tag is a possibility. If it is made in india, expect it to be around 18.

After a wait of 1 Year, General Motors has launched New Captiva, which was showcased earlier in Jan at Auto Expo. The New Captiva receives a 2.2-Liter Diesel engine (186.5 BHP and 424NM Torque) with a six-speed gearbox. It also features flexi seating (5+2) with leather upholstery, electric parking brake, climate control, cruise control, rain sensing wipers, third row heating, access through remote operated tailgate glass, six airbags and sunroof. Here’s a quick (Ex. Showroom, Delhi) Price list.

> Captiva 2.0 MT: Rs.18,74,062

> Captiva 2.0 Xtreme: Rs.19,48,347

> Captiva 2.2 AT AWD: Rs.24,59,000

Prices seem to undercut the market leader Fortuner, I feel they should have offered auto in 2WD guise as well to keep the price of AT down.

New Captiva looks nice. Now I know where M&M got the idea for third row folding mechanism, also the storage compartment. What is that circular display-like thing below the lcd(which btw is small)?
I guess that circular display is the digital watch.

Damn, still no rear AC vents...
How come they do the same mistake again.[frustration]. What made them think that the front AC vents will do the job to cool the vehicle of this size.

Hi,
The third row Ac vents has been included. But the website has not been updated yet.The vehicle is still sold as CBU,I cant understand why GM did not opt for atleast CKD route. The price would drop atleast by 1-2 lakhs which can be passed on to the customer and can give tough competition.

Oh thanks. Nothing has been mentioned about the 3rd row AC vents. I hope they have given AC vents in 2nd row also!

In pics they cant be seen, not on the pillars atleast.
