Monsoon Update
Found Rust below Roof Channel Molding, I have Sanded the area and applied Epoxy Primer.
Its a Must for ever old car owner to check below the roof molding.
A hidden dangerous place for our cars and if we neglect this rust becomes worst and can lead to water leakage in rainy season.

Dear Adil, Please tell me how to check the Roof Molding.

Is it a simple job of opening the Roof Molding or have to go to any Auto Garage to check up? Because I wish to check up my car as I see only 2 very small rust spots ( may be 1- 1.5 mm size) and if it is a simple DIY, I wish to do it myself, if any rust spots are found inside. I already have some Tufkote 4950 left after doing the underbody as well as the Flooring Antirust coating done recently.

Removing roof beading is a simple process.. you can do it by your self
I did this in 2hours. Check this video you will have idea
start from the rear end, after removing the beading you can remove the front caps.

Thanks Adil. I opened the Beading at the Rear end and thank God, it is not rust but some stain, so I just cleaned it with wet cloth and put back the Beading as it is.

Made a New Copy of Original Owners Manual
Now I have both Manual and Warranty Book's.

If you don't mind, can I have a scanned copy of the Manual and Warranty Book? My brother has the same model Maruti 800 DX though a bit newer. It has the Maruti engine. My sister used to have one with the Suzuki Engine but that was sold long back.

How about posting an updated list of the jobs done and also the cost including that of the car itself.

Major Update
Engine Overhauling Done for the first Time
Car has done 97k in 32 Years
On March 6th gave the car to my mechanic, it took 2 weeks to rebuild the engine.
I wanted to keep my Original engine without replacing with half block New Engine
bought all the spares from Mgp, All Original Nut and Bolts where Galvanized.

Just a couple of questions.
What is the condition of Engine Mounts after 32 years, you had to change them? or they are still fine. Had to change the Head GASKET?
Why don't you give break up costs of MGP and also the Labour cost for this task, so it will help other members when they take up such kind of tasks.
