In Krishnagiri, there are two flyovers on the NH. The second one will lead on to Salem. To go to Chennai, one has to go below the second flyover.

Hey man, we want some pics.
Pictures are in the first page. I have not added/modified any accessory since

Ganesh, Thanks for updating this thread and sharing your experience with us. The Manza is serving you well. I recently checked out the car but only it’s looks (especially rear) for the price are not pleasing me if I compare with Linea Active, though both belong to a different category altogether and Manza is still proving out to be a much VFM deal.

I am back after a long hibernation. Saw another Manza ownership thread and a booking as well. Good news in the Manza front.

In the mean time, I had given the vehicle for first and second free services and had a drive to Chennai

Lots of good things and some minor mishaps happened

Mishap: I had parked my car outside my house for a couple of days due to some construction activity in my basement. Somebody had flicked the entire LORVM assembly. Also, there were deep cuts in my front bumper. Since it had happened during night, I was not able to track the person who had done these things to my car. This happened just before I had given the vehicle for service. Since the estimate for repair was huge, I opted to go in for Insurance and replaced the entire front bumper

Now moving on to good things:
I have crossed 5400 KMs now and vehicle is going good so far. No major issues. Service records below:

1st Free Service:
Replaced Front Bumper and got new LORVM
I got underbody protection and engine wax treatment done
Driver side Power window switches were not glowing; got them replaced

2nd Free Service:
I had to apply a lot of force to close the boot; got that rectified
Horn pad was not working in all the areas
Paint Protection got done

2nd Trip to Chennai:

I had to go for a function in Chennai on August 15th and had not made train bookings. So I decided to take my Manza for a spin. I started at 13:45 hours from my residence on August 14th. This time I had decided to stretch the vehicle a bit and try higher speeds unlike last time where I averaged 80kmph as I was out of the run-in period. Unfortunately till I reached Electronic City, traffic was heavy and could get on to the Electronic City flyover by 15:10 hours only. Travel till Krishnagiri was better; could have been still better had it not been for the intermittent extremely slow moving trucks. We had a stopover at Vaniyambadi Toll Booth for about an hour from 16:30 and 17:30 hours.

Vaniyambadi Toll Booth while going - notice the clear sky

I was driving the car consistently at 110kmph with occasionally touching 120kmph. I managed 100 kms in one hour. Then it became darker and there were also a lot of trucks on the road. Then on, I could manage only 80kmph. There were a lot of insects that were bombarding my front wind shield. Reached Poonamallee by 19:30 hours and reached my home near Tambaram by 20:30 hours. Overall driving time (excluding the stoppage) 5 hours 45 min

I started back from Chennai on 15th afternoon by 12:30. This time, right from the word go (ofcourse after I crossed Chennai), I was driving at 110-115 kmph only. After I crossed Ambur, there was a very heavy downpour. Visibility was very less. I switched on the headlights, fog lamps and hazard lights and was driving just at 30kmph. It was a unique experience to drive with such incessant rain lashing around. After about 5 kms, rain subsided a little and I was able to drive faster. Managed to reach Vaniyambadi at 15:25 hours and had a stoppage till 16:05 hours.

Vaniyambadi Toll Booth while returning - observe the cloudy sky

I reached home at 18:30 hours. Overall driving time (excluding the stoppage) 5 hours 20 min.

Observations:

Mileage (with 100% AC) - BLR to MAA - MAA to BLR -
Full Tank to Full Tank ------ 16.72 ------- 18.1
As shown by DIS ---------- 16.65 ------- 18.0

Drive at 115kmph was silky smooth, with no vibrations [:D] I observed a little vibration once I touched 120kmph. I mentioned this during the second service. Service Advisor informed that the issue can be due to wheel alignment, but I was not convinced and did not want to touch something which may not be an issue. Since, I don’t have a pressing requirement to travel at 120kmph, I did not pursue.

Blue tooth facility (for receiving/making calls using the Car’s hands on facility) is excellent [clap] Call clarify from rear seats is superb. Even when I was driving at speeds > 100, there was no noise inside the cabin and the voice was crystal clear.

Minor niggle observed:
Occasionally, I am not able to roll up the rear window using the driver power window switch. Unfortunately, I was not able to simulate this in front of the Service Advisor

Sad to know that, In case they are caught red-handed someday, I feel like trashing up such fellows. How much was the total repair cost anyways?

Great to know you are enjoying your car and yes minor niggles are always expected from TATA. How much was the total repair cost? And your FE is excellent considering your speeds. Its always fun to drive in the heavy rains. Almost all cars drive like an escort with fog lamps and headlamps ON. [:D]

Insects issue is common in highways during nights. You can find some blood stains of insects too on your bumper too sometimes.

Any why so much time near a single booth?

Rs. 2492 (after insurance) - For the bumper and the LORVM, had to pay 50% of the cost + Rs.500 initial amount
