Features of Refreshed Land Cruiser Prado 2014 Explained - Contd.
Pre-Crash Safety System.

I was reading about a Maruthi Suzuki Desire crash due to driver "blank out" for a moment. This news appeared in all news paper media. This feature is really useful in such cases. The system functions using an Obstacle Detecting Radar/Sensor mounted on the front grill. Check the picture for details. The system signals to Pre-Crash brake assist, and tension on pre-crash seat-belts. Schematic diagram explains. This is useful on events when the driver get panic, and freeze on accident related events, thus forgetting the vehicle ahead.




Recent visit to a Farm.

Today, I found this vehicle next to my vehicle in our car parking area. It is 2014 refreshed Toyota Corolla. Lots of changes to the interior compared to the previous version. Rear side profile (towards back) resembles Nissan Sunny. Toyota Fortuner 2014 also available in the show room. Not much changes to Fortuner. Only slight changes to interior.

On a weekend outing:

Did a weekend outing and some local shopping. As usual went to the fish market. The fish market is fully air-conditioned. Cleaning is excellent. No smells. The best part is that they do cleaning, skin-removal, and slicing the fish to the pieces all free services.





Tire Gauge
Visited ACE hardware, and found this on a rack. It is about 250rs (approximate). I tried this, and found accurate. It is a digital tire gauge.

• With 3V Lithoum coin cell.

Visited a Vehicle Showroom.

The weather during these days are not stable. Thick fog on one side, and scattered rain at times on other side. Driving is difficult on these conditions. Noticed today the kick off of ABS on several times. ABS is must feature on slippery roads. Visited a vehicle showroom and found Toyota Camry (earlier Model). We are on a look out for a small car for my relative. His options are Toyota Corolla, Mitsubishi Lancer, Mitsubishi Galant, and Toyota Yaris.

Visited the Tallest Tower in Kuwait.

It is the tallest in Kuwait. Total 80 floors. Details in the video.

Visited Auto Moto 14 during the previous weekend. All Terrain Vehicles (ATV) are used for off-road driving. An ATV showcased in the Auto Moto14 is showed here. Youth use it for sand dunes. Another attraction is Honda Bike. A small outing on this weekend, and clicked the following picture (picture of Goats). These Goats are really big, and kept in special enclosures.

For a Monthly Full Bath

Took the Prado for the monthly full bath. The full bath includes under-body, engine bay and all inside. The full washing and interior wiping takes approximately 1 hour. Another visible mark on the side, a deep scar on the door and front wheel arch (Fourth Picture -down). It is deep, either 'key' works by an anti-social worker, or car taken a close shave while parking ( car-ORVM).

Largest LuLu Hyper Market in Kuwait.

LuLu group inaugurated their 4th hypermarket in Kuwait. The newly opened hypermarket is the largest in Kuwait. LuLu group is one of the fastest growing department store in the world [Not from Gartner Report, but from real fact].

The much anticipated new branch of Lu&Lu Hypermarket in Dajeej was inaugurated on the morning of Saturday, 15 February, by Sheikh Abdullah Humoud Faisal Al Sabah and Sheikh Nimer fahad Al Sabah , Secretary Financial and Commerce in the presence of Ambassadors from India, Indonesia, Thailand, Korea, Sri Lanka, dignitaries and top officials of LuLu Group.

Billed as the biggest hypermarket in Kuwait, the 230,000 sq. ft. store, located in Dajeej area just off the 6th Ring Road, is spread across two levels with the food and grocery section on the ground floor and department and lifestyle products on the first floor. Commenting on the new store launch Yusuffali MA, Managing Director of LuLu Group said, “This is our 4th branch in Kuwait and we are extremely happy with the support and patronage we have been receiving from the residents of this great nation.”

Largest Sand Sculpture Park in Kuwait

The Sand Sculptures displayed in the sand park will be the world’s largest ever made. The expo is opened till 26th April 2014. 73 sand artists worked in this project. The sand theme is from stories of 1001 Nights.

Completed 40000Kms.

Land Cruiser Prado successfully completed 40000Kms. Need to take to Toyota service center for the Express Service. While on routine weekend outing came across to this mega show "Infiniti Redbull F1 Road Show 2014 - Kuwait". Spanish driver Carlos Sainz Jr. visited Kuwait, with Infiniti Red Bull Racing Formula One car. This was the first of its kind. Pictures soon.
