Photo0235.jpg
Removed the cover and the bulb

Photo0239.jpg
Connected 12 LEDs (3v .5W each)
Connected 4 LEDs in series 3v * 4 = 12v

Connected the circuit to the two way switch so that lights can glow in combination of 4 or 8 LEDs

Installed a custom LED strip.

Installed 4 LED's in the center console

Opened the meter console to add some more lights as the old lights were too dim.
The type 1 meter is not back lit [anger] so added some LEDs in the front for some illumination.

thanks ss80,
For the rear passengers I am planning to fix something like this 01-cabin-backlight-control-LED-cabin-lighting-system-Ambient-light-sensor-Panel-with-LED-Light.jpg in the rear door pad. I'll use tata sumo or marshal interior lights(replace the bulbs with LEDs).

Today installed a 10" woofer. Went for a drive with friends on lucknow-kanpur highway
Played loud music while the engine was off(near some tea/snacks stall) parking lights were on too.
And the battery was gone
some how started the car (thanks God friends were there)
This is the 3rd time battery was gone. The battery is faulty and gets discharged itself.

I want to replace the battery. PLEASE TELL WHICH BATTERY SHOULD I USE

Better get Exide, 38 amps with 2 years warranty, it costs you around 3k.

Also check whether the alternator is working fine, or else the battery won't be charged.

Yes your alternator is working fine, check with out load it should be around 14 volts.

You can put 38amp battery, your alternator will have the capacity to charge it.

Hi,
I was watching this thread but some how I missed to comment. I really liked the way you have converted the indicator and cabin light. I am also an electronic hobbyist. Presently I am building FM booster circuit for my car radio. I will post the pictures soon.
My suggestion is go for some good car stereo. Quality of sound, appearance will change. I think Mr.Varun will suggest in this regard.
Regards and welcome.

Thanks for the reply Varun
I went to my mechanic for the battery issue.
He insisted me to buy Amco instead of exide.
I bought amco 38amp as he has put a bet and i'll pay him after a year. The price is 2800 with 36 months warranty.
Mr Rao thanks for the post. I'll upgrade my audio system a bit later

Installed the battery, the lights are bright now and does not dim while starting the car.
Another querry:
my car throws a little water from the exhaust pipe when starting the car. The mech says that it is good and the car is giving better fuel average.
But from where does the water come from ???
Its only water, No water-oil mixture.

Hi shantanu, this happen in my car too but no need to worry an this is common in petrol engine.. when the morning temperature is low, water does come out of the silencer. when a hydrocarbon burns in presence oxygen, there will be two products mainly:- water and corbon-di-oxid! And YES it means that your engine is in good health.. So congrats [:)]
