Renault will showcase Modus Hatchback at the occasion of Indian GP on Buddh International Circuit on 29th October 2011 and official launch will happen in Jan 2012.

Now one thing is not clear: will it be Modus or Grand Modus.

Renault positions this car as "Supermini". So I doubt whether it would be unleashed against the likes of i10 & Ritz.

Key Dimensions of Modus/Grand Modus:

1. Length : 3874/4034

2. Width: 1695/1695

3. Height: 1586/1586

4. Wheel Base: 2482/2575

In light of Renault/Nissan alliance, we can safely assume that Modus/Grande Modus will share powerplants with Micra. However considering increased weight of Modus/Grand Modus (1080/1150 kg with a 1.2 75 HP engine: not sure is it the same Micra engine), performance & efficiency would be blunted.

Yes it has been confirmed that it will share engine with Micra. However important information is that the new car will be known as “Pulse”, according to Carwale.
