Mission Incomplete: Visit To Vagamon Kurisumala

Thanks dhoom9. We abandoned this trip due to very poor visibility.
Reached Kurisumala. 14 Way of Stations are allocated on the side of the mountain. The trekking is difficult during mist. Some 'way of stations' are installed on rocks. So we have to literally climb some of the rocks. Some friends of mine visited all the 'way of stations' on the following day.

Took some photos, and decided to return. There is 125 steps grotto and we could not spot it. Spot the vehicle in third photo below.

We went to Kanjirapally, through Amal Jyothi College of Engineering.
This is an engineering college having largest infrastructure spread on 100's of acres of land. Stopped for a tea break.

On way back, we came through Erumely. Erumely is famous for the 'Petta Thullal'. The major attraction is Vavar Mosque. Two photos of the mosque attaching. It is Sabarimala season, and it is tradition to visit this Mosque.

I must have visited Erumeli Temple and “Vavaraswami” at least over 20 times. What a place and a great symbol of/for communal harmony = the message very significant in today’s world.

Kanjirapally-Erumeli road is super. It is a great symbol of communal harmony.
We reached to pathanamthitta after attending another marriage function.

Erumeli Petta Thullal Celebrated

Erumeli Petta Thullal, the ritualistic sacred dance to celebrate the victory of good over evil in the legend of Lord Ayyappa who killed the demon princess Mahishi, was held with traditional gaiety at Erumeli on Sunday, denoting the beginning of the last leg of the annual Sabarimala pilgrimage season this year.

Makara Vilaku is within couple of Days.

The same route, but an earlier trip. We have to cross a forest division (mentioned in first posting of this Travelogue), after Ranni. Well laid road, both sides full dense trees.
