Re: Mercedes Benz E-Class (E250 CDI) Test Drive Review

Leave aside everything, all i know is that there is no more 6 cyl 350 and hence no interest in this car. The hell, a 50 lac car without much needed power!! Competition has 3.0 TDI and 3.0D from Audi and BMW respectively. Yes, the preferred choice is the lower displacement underpowered ones by customers. But then there are people who want it big. Not in AMG, but in diesel.

Iron rock , sorry to disturb you [:D]. I am interested in the pics of the interior of the car with the wood trim.I think it is the version that's being locally assembled in India.
Check out this particular post it has a few pictures of the trim you are looking for :-

The car we tested wasnt this one, hence very limited pictures of this trim.

Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Drive - E 350 CDI (In Top Form)

The new E350CDI continues the Mercedes tradition of performance and style and is another successful launch for the Brand. Its design language and technology has been a hit with the on-the-move go-getters of today.

With the launch of the E350 BlueTEC Diesel variant on September 11, Mercedes has addressed the market need of power with a style statement. And the smartest way of doing it is without doubt extending the powerful engine from the S350 CDI to this beauty. With its Intelligent Drive systems, you get to experience technology at its finest every inch of the way.

The E350 BlueTEC comes with the 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 unit that pumps 258PS of power and a massive 620Nm of torque. To put things into perspective, the E350 can go from 0-100 in just 6.6 seconds and has its top whack is electronically limited to 250kmph. The car comes mated to the same 7-speed dual clutch gearbox, the 7G-Tronic Plus that is also used on the other E-Class variants. The ‘intelligent drive’ features of the car are shown in the sketch below.

In the matter of looks, the E350 takes some design cues from the flagship E63AMG. So that’s pretty cool!
The launch of the E350 BlueTEC does a lot more than just add more power to the E-Class. It also introduces a Mercedes-Benz model to go up against the likes of the Audi A6 3.0-litre and the BMW 530d M Sport. The fight in the mid-size luxo-sedan segment just got more interesting!

Re: Mercedes Benz E250 CDi Review | Test Drive | Pictures

I test drove C220 CDI Avantgarde. Everything is there in C except the rear leg room space and a compact cabin! My brother and wife didn't like the cramped cabin space. Even I felt so. Now we are confused whether to stick on this or go for E 250 CDI. Dealership is giving a discount of close to 8L for E. Is it fine if we take a vehicle that is ready for a complete makeover in a couple of months?

In my opinion you can go for the E class. The next gen E class may come to India only in 2017.The cost of the upcoming E class will be definitely more, may be up to 10 lakhs.Current generation e class is still a fantastic vehicle. The engine is not that different in the upcoming E class, but the interiors are looking good.I wouldn't recommend C class above E class, whatever the interiors may be.It's a class lower, rear seat is cramped and spare tyre occupies most of the boot. With all the discounts the current gen E class is a great buy.

Buddy the particular car in the above pics is a 2016 manufactured model as I am informed. The facelift E-Class which is due this year would come around Diwali. About the apps, Mercedes Apps are as much similar to the apps provided nowdays by many other OEMs it has the radio, navigation et al.

You mean to say about the launch of W213 or again a facelift of present W212? I was informed that W213 will be launched by this year end or during early 2017. Does all Edition E are 2016 manufactured? Any info on that?
