Just saw the news Tata motors 30% improvement in sales this month thanks to zest and bolt. Does that mean zest back to 2k figures again
The 30% improvement is compared to June'14 sales numbers, which were the worst numbers the company reported in quite a few years now. Tata Motors had sold less than 8000 PVs in June'14, which included about 6k cars & rest UVs. In June'15 Tata Motors has sold 8.5k cars and 1.7k UVs. Still the total sale is down by about 8-10% M-o-M.

So this month's numbers are not great at all. In fact we could be seeing a further fall in sales of the Indica/Vista/Bolt/Zest/e-CS cars compared to last 2 months, as the Nano numbers might have increased this month.

The top4 appear a round robin match among the Marutis while the Hyundai Grand i10 seems destined for 5th place.
Not sure we will have too much excitement in the coming months, though i hope the Nano and the Kite do create a stir.. not too convinced as of now.

I think celerio sales increased due to the pathetic diesel version. I am sure if the maruti badge is placed on a autorickshaw having 60kmpl people will buy that too. It's high time for people to know that mileage figure is not everything and now that ritz is no longer produced people will fall for the celerio.
