Maruti Zen Automatic ('99): Is It AMT Type Gearbox?

Hi friends,

The Gearbox in ZEN AX 99 Petrol model, is it AMT type ? or CVT or the fluid type ?
Any info / links about regarding this gear box will be much helpful..

When in D mode, I am not really feeling the 'head-shake' that happens in AMT gearbox shifting.
And the acceleration form start is slow in D mode, so just wanted to see if anything is wrong..

Any advice that I should keep aq watch, while doing routine service would also greatly help...
I downloaded the manual, it says about speed limits between shifting, and gear-oil type, couldn't find anything else in first look.

If I remember correctly, the earlier MS had a 3speed AT, let's wait for the M800 expert @sumitsinha12 or leoshashi to give you the correct information.

Btb, got to know that the gear box is NOT and AMT, neither CVT.
Its the conventional Torque-Convertor type, with valve bodies deciding the switching, and wet clutches taking the torque to transmission.
Looking for more info, Ill update here later on as and when it happens.

Planning to get oils changed. Any recommendations for engine of an old petrol zen ?
And what Automatic transmission fluid would suit ?

20W40 Shell engine oil is good enough. Regarding automatic transmission I will let you know in a day.
