Maruti Suzuki Might Revive Gypsy Again

Using the same sole 1.3L multijet DDis .

Since Maruti had made a contract with Fiat to source the MJD engines, they have been the diesel hearts of Swift , Ritz, SX4 and the latest Ertiga. We can be quite sure of the same if Maruti is planning for a diesel Gypsy.

Reviving an old thread!

Maruti Suzuki has bagged the single largest order for 4000 Gypsy SUV from Indian Army.

Indian Army is the preferred customer for Maruti Suzuki as 22% of the total production of 1.40 lakh Gypsy vehicles are being made specifically for the armed forces. It is learnt that 2100 units of Gypsy SUVs have already been delivered by MSIL to the Indian Army two months back and the balance number of vehicles are expected to be handed over in about five month’s time.
