Re: Maruti Eeco Engine oil Dilemma.

1100? out here in mumbai you get 0w40 for 800 without bill and rs 950with bill from their dealers.
you also can get 5w30 in mobil1 I've been trying to find that but audi takes it up.
you could also give mobil 10w30 a try its a great oil.
however if maruti has been filling a "x" w30 oil in your engine all this while i think you should stay with the with that cause if you move up to a 0w40/5w40 fuel economy will give down, depending on the engine very tiny bit to a fair bit.
my engine has recommendations for a 5w20/5w30 for fuel economy.
by the way api-sn is the current standard go in for that its way better mobil1 has api-sn

My Maruti Eeco has clocked 20k kms and its time for an oil change.
Company recommends 5w30 api SG+ or SL or SH oil.
The Choices i have are:
Castrol Magnatec 10w40 api SG+
Castrol GTX Modern engine 5w30 Api sm
Castrol Edge 0w40 api sn
which is the best and reasonable choice.
Daily traveling is 120Kms on CNG.

just follow the instructions on your cars user manual and your car should be fine.
