Ldi doesn't have other things like faux wood, rear seat armrest besides what has been mentioned before. Best thing is to buy Vdi & opt for alloy wheels. Best package.

Deciding between Dzire LDI & VDI

My budget is very limited... I had booked a Dzire LDI in August. The dealer is offering Dzire VDI now or else I will have to wait 2 months for LDI...

Is it worthwhile to pay Rs. 88,000 extra for the following add-on features in VDI :

- Stereo CD Player
- Power Windows (Both Front & Rear)
- Central Locking
- Low Fuel Warning Light
- Accessory Power Outlet
- Vanity Mirror
- Rear Seat Centre Arm rest
- Tachometer
- Outside Temperature Display
- Fog Lights - Front
- Wheel covers
- Seat Belt Warning
- Door Ajar Warning

I believe only the first 3 are the real necessary features and can be installed in LDI @ Rs. 25-30K so I can save around 50-60K. What is your opinion ?

Re: Deciding between Dzire LDI & VDI

Stereo (even better than stock), power windows all windows (original also available), central locking, accessory power outlet, vanity mirror, fog lights, wheel covers, and maybe the door ajar warning can be added separately (the interior light can also indicate the same). Total cost about 30 - 35000 I would say.

Go for the Ldi, but do enquire about the cost of additions from the dealer and also from a reputed accessory fitting shop. If any other features present, then do factor those too.

You can very well do without the outside temp display, seat belt warning (but do remember to put on the seat belt), tachometer, low fuel warning, rear seat arm rest etc.

Fully agreed with bobb and sg . IMO most of msil cars are vfm only if you buy low end or topend version. Mid versions (vdi in this case) are just money spinning bussiness.
