60,000 gets you cars like the old Baleno in Mumbai [surprise]
M800 is a bit cheaper in Mumbai- around 35000 but quite abused ones, nothing like the cars youll own

PS- Im really impressed, nostalgic and inspired seeing your M800s in such immactulate condition and restored
Though I never got to drive ours , I learned on M800 and it has a special place in my heart
A relic of Indian automotive history and truly a pleasure to see one
Was M800 as special in Sri Lanka? Was it officially sold there too?
M800 was the most inexpensive brand new vehicle we could buy some time ago. ( now it's TATA nano or something). But it was and still is a very reliable vehicle which we also love. With its reliable engine and easy steering, it put itself competing among the good old japanese counterparts. Suzuki's intervention made it so japanese that we can sometimes interchange parts with japanese ones.

Btw i used a degreaser, kerosene, diesel, dish washer fluid and hot water to clean different parts experimentally to see which one does it best. Degreaser with kerosene firstly then dish washer and hot water do a good job.

For carbon build up on piston tops, i used a paint stripper.

After cleaning surfaces such as cylinder bores, head gasket surface etc. It is important to apply oil to prevent rust build up.

Engine and transmission after cleaning....

Your Restoration project is really Amazing and I am sure with all the hard tasks you are doing and finally with painting work on the body will make your car look like a new one.

You can also plan for the under body anti- rusting coating work for long life.

BEST OF LUCK.
Take care, Regards

Hello Young man,
what is the latest on your project ?
What kind of black paint you used for Engine surface and for other components, is it any kind of heat - resistant paint for the Engine or normal black paint?
