Just Google how 70s cars look
Straight lines and rectangular boxes
Logan has this same design philosophy but doesn't look good like some classics from the 70s. Three quarters of this car follows the same design philosophy
The rear lights though not similar in design to alto has the same bulbous weird look to it like we see in alto.
Overall another failed attempt by mahindra design team.
See Design is something I feel is completely a personal taste, the Great thing about this Mahindra is that , its got the basics right
1. Safety-- Dual Airbags+ ABS standard
2. Engine-- the Marazzo engine is superb as its got healthy torque and bhp and since its made for an MPV it should last long as well as its primary purpose is durability and long life
3. 6 speed Gearbox
4. SSangyong Tivoli is Ssangyongs best selling international model which is proven successful in many markets across globe , a lot of other SSangyongs are not good, but Tivoli is easily their most popular and life saver car, so its a proven chassis
5. Good space inside,

The only negative I find with XUV300
1. Poor boot space of just 265l
2. Interior plastic quality is typical Mahindra, its OK, but definitely below the market standard set by VW,Hyundai

On all other counts this is what the majority of Indians want, a master piece rival to Vitara Brezza and Tata Nexon

Don't make me laugh sangyong. P
Don't want to talk more about it
The name is enough sangyong Hehe
Well, thats just a perception, Ssangyong used to be stupid, just like the Chinese mobile makers like Xiaomi/Oppo etc, but just look at how far Xiaomi/Oppo etc has gone and we the Indians who mocked Chinese as 2nd grade, use and throw goods etc are now buying it the most and is on almost every house nowadays, shows how bad India is when it comes to realizing the true potential , check this out for more info
SsangYong posts record sales in 2016, Tivoli brand the growth driver
I dont think the Tivoli is a joke, sure former Ssangyongs were half heart attempts but , the new gen Tivolis are very good, they share platforms from Old gen Mercedes and Hyundai but do make sure that its built to standards and help cater market demands
I am pretty sure the XUV300 will shake the balance of Tata Nexon and Brezza quiet a bit.

Every vehicle has its positives and negatives as far as xuv 300 is concerned only consistent negative seems to be less boot space by almost every one ,and looks esp post part by some , but it has a lots of positives which overweight the negatives as
1. Powerful(120 bhp) ,punchy (300 nm torque ) and refined and calm engine ( marrazo reference )
2. Plethora of features ,its like you name it you have it
3. Probably a shocker of price ( in good sense )
So if priced right it will get buyers for sure , and might come close to nexon in sales number

Checked at india garage bangalore

Here is my first impression

+ve
Back seat is more comfy than ecosport by width

Good quality seats and interior

More roomy, three can seat at back

Not like kuv or tuv this looks different and bossy SUV like look

Taller stance

Better view From driver seat

Sun roof

Leg room is good at back and front

-ve

Back seat is wider than all other cars in the segment but not recline or back rest adjusting option available, can't sit in relaxed position but it's our park bench like position which is a discomfort

Boot space is not on par with other cars in the segment, boot lip is higher difficult to load heavy luggage's

White color seats will be a dirt grabber in few months

------

Looks are subjective, this is like are hate kind vehicle, but somewhat gives me bold suv stance

Have the similar quality thud feel of closing xuv 500 doors

Mahindra XUV300: Key Features Explained In Detail

fftp86v_mahindra-xuv300-review_625x300_05_February_19.jpg

The all-new Mahindra XUV300 is built on SsangYong's X100 platform which also spawns the SsangYong Tivoli which in-turn means that the XUV300 inherits some of the characters of the Tivoli. However, both are not exactly the same models as Mahindra has made changes to other underpinnings of the XUV300. For instance, it gets a new suspension set-up along with an entirely new steering mechanism.

2019 Mahindra XUV300 launched in India, priced from Rs 7.9 lakh

ImageResizer.ashx?n=http%3a%2f%2fcdni.autocarindia.com%2fExtraImages%2f20190214114835_xuv300.jpg

Today, Mahindra has launched the XUV300 at a starting price of Rs 7.9 lakh (ex-showroom). The XUV300 diesel starts at Rs 8.4 lakh. Its price puts it squarely in the territory dominated by the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza; and the XUV300's fully-loaded W8 (O) variant could even poach some potential Hyundai Creta buyers. Having opened order books at the start of January, Mahindra has already received over 4,000 bookings for the XUV300.

Pricing is on the expected lines with W8 O at 12 L Ex showroom ,no shock-waves around the pricing ,hope it will sell but don,t see it as a blockbuster at this price point ,difference in prices of diesel and petrol should have been more ( around 75 k ) ,seems mahindra is not very keen in promoting petrol variants

Comparing a Hatchback and Sedan to an SUV like XUV300 is very strange.
and over that comparing a new age design like XUV300 and NEXON to 70's & 80's cars is stranger.[think]
Anyways, all individuals are entitled to their personal opinion and likes/dislikes, so all is good.

A superb product priced very competitively,
Mahindra has done a fine job by keeping the Petrol/Diesel difference to just 55k/60k[gun]
