Its OFFICIAL. It is XUV 300!!
Mahindra XUV300: First official pictures are here!
Mahindra has released the first pictures of the upcoming XUV 300. The car has not been shown physically but Mahindra has released digital images of the upcoming vehicle that carried the codename – S201. Mahindra has officially named the sub-4-meter compact SUV as the XUV 300 and it gets similar looks to the bigger sibling – Mahindra XUV 500.
Even though the Mahindra XUV 300 is based on the SsangYong Tivoli, the car gets added touches by Mahindra. There is chrome grille at the front with big headlamps. The headlamps get LED projector lamps and LED DRLs.

However, we zoomed into one of the sketch images and found a little secret, an AMT gear lever. This clearly means that at a later stage, the XUV300 will get an AMT set-up.

New gen Tivoli is the smallest car made by SsangYong till date. Mahindra’s South Korean subsidiary made the Tivoli platform, considering India in mind as well. And that reason is the new XUV300. Previously codenamed S201, Mahindra XUV300 compact SUV launch is scheduled for February 2019.

Mahindra XUV300 bookings open
We spoke to a few dealers in Pune city and Gujarat who are now accepting bookings unofficially for an amount of Rs 11,000 (Rs 10,000 in Mumbai) which can be refunded. Deliveries are expected to commence by mid-February 2019.

Mahindra is expected to announce the XUV300's price on February 15, 2018. Bookings for the newest compact SUV have already commenced unofficially at most Mahindra dealers nationwide.

Am I the only one feeling that the interiors are a bit old in their overall layout compared to Nexon/ Ecosport. ![[confused]](https://www.theautomotiveindia.com/forums/images/smilies/Confused.gif "Confused [confused]")
But the segment first features will negate other shortcomings for sure. Interesting space to watch - whether Nexon get more features to counter this one. TML should act aggressively not to lose the 2nd position it has got in this category.

We have been following the XUV300 quite extensively and by now have plenty of details on it and probably you too must be aware of it all if you have been following our updates. It seems like a balanced product ,front looks good ,side profile is nice with good sets of alloy ,only the hind part is not assimilating seamlessly with the rest of the body. speculated engine of marrazo is quite fine for this size of vehicle , full marks on features list , now a good crash rating at NCAP and killer/sensible pricing can make it a strong contender for 2nd spot in sub 4 meter SUV segment
Mahindra Officially Confirms the Launch of Electric XUV300 For Next Year
Slated to arrive in the middle parts of 2020, the XUV300 based electric SUV could debut at around the same time as Korando EV – SsangYong’s first fully fledged e-SUV. The battery-powered Mahindra SUV is expected to be based on the flexible MESMA platform (Mahindra Electric Scalable Modular Architecture) and could cover a distance of 250 km on a single charge with top speed claimed at 150 kmph.
