Finally, one of my favourite bikes is going to launch in a new avatar – Kawasaki has begun airing the online teasers of Ninja 650R. Can we call this as a result of heat that Hyosung has just recently created? Nonetheless, whatever it maybe. This bike sure is going to be an enthusiast’s delight with top speed of 200 Kmph and raw power of 70 BHP. Kawasaki ER-6f is Next Launch!

The Indian motorcycle market has come a long way. We'’ve come from no real performance bikes, to an extensive array of models that today has you spoilt for choice. We first confirmed this in Autocar India Feb 2011. Since when Kawasaki and Bajaj has been burning the midnight-oil, mere weeks now remaining before they bring the exciting, 649cc ER-6f model to India. The faired-in Ninja will be powered by a four-stroke, parallel-twin layout, liquid-cooled engine. Fuel-injected, the ER-6f shall output 72.1bhp of peak power at 8500rpm, and use telescopic front forks with a monoshock suspension at rear. The ER-6f will be assembled by Bajaj in Chakan, imported into the country as a CKD unit. Expect an on-road price in the region of Rs 5.5 lakh for this top-quality Kawasaki motorcycle. source - Kawasaki ER-6f weeks away | Autocar India

Alright People. The Ninja 650R has been released in country at price tag of Rs.4.5 Lakhs (Ex.Showroom Delhi). Truly I'm satisfied with the pricing, but now only waiting for enough cash to bring one home someday (!!). I'm not a big bike aficionado though, but superbikes like this do equally excite me as much as cars do. [thumbswink]

Nope. I doubt if it has ABS. Now enjoy these beautiful pictures from the Kawasaki Ninja 650R Launch which took place yesterday. Also, below are some interesting facts about this manufacturer from BikeAdvice.

- Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) has revenues amounting to 14.2 billion dollars.
- Ninja brand was born in 1984, which also happens to be the year in which Bajaj and Kawasaki partnered in India. This point was emphasized by both Rajiv Bajaj and Eric Vas.
- Bajaj & Kawasaki’s joint venture in 1984 was the latest indo-jap venture and surprisingly the only surviving JV in this sector.
- Kawasaki currently has 7 bikes in the Ninja family ranging from 250cc to the heavenly insane 1400cc
- Ninja 250R in the 250cc, 400R in the 400cc, 650R & sports ZX-6R in 650cc, 1000 & zx-10R in liter class and the humongous ZX-14R in 1400cc.

Kawasaki Ninja is available across 30 cities in country through Bajaj Probiking Showrooms. I'm sure Bangalore has one as well. Please ask your friend to confirm that.

It does come with ABS but I don't know if it will come to India. If cars in India still don't come with ABS as a standard feature then fat chance Kawasaki will even bother launching an ABS version.
