TVS Jupiter BS6 base variant launch – Cheaper than Honda Activa 6G

TVS Motor Company has launched the new BS6-compliant range of the popular Jupiter series at a starting price of Rs 61,449. The higher TVS Jupiter ZX variant is priced at Rs 63,449 while the top-of-the-line Jupiter Classic BS6 made its debut much earlier at Rs 67,911. All prices mentioned here are ex-showroom and can vary slightly depending on your location.

The TVS Jupiter Grande variant (the most premium choice in BS4 format) is yet to go through BS6-updation and it remains unclear whether it would ever get the update. In fact, the official TVS Jupiter website contains only the updated BS6 prices (alongside the current BS4 prices) while technical specifications of the new range are unavailable. 2020 TVS Jupiter ZX Disc Brake Variant Launched; Priced At ₹ 69,052

TVS Motor Company has introduced a new variant of the TVS Jupiter scooter with an upgraded electric starter, which features silent starting which the company calls 'i-TOUCHstart'. The new starter provides a silent and instant start without the cranking noise of the gears in the starter motor, making it ideal for repeated starts in stop-go traffic. According to TVS, the new 'i-TOUCHstart' system also improves battery life and provides a maintenance-free system. The TVS Jupiter ZX continues to be powered by the same 110 cc, fuel-injected engine which makes 7.37 bhp of maximum power at 7,000 rpm and 8.4 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. The engine is paired to a CVT automatic gearbox.

TVS Jupiter Sheet Metal White Variant Launched In India; Priced At ₹ 63,497

TVS Motor Company has launched a new variant of the Jupiter in India. The new variant is called Sheet White Metal and it is priced at ₹ 63,497. The other variants of the Jupiter scooter get a price hike of up to ₹ 2,770. Along with the new model, there are five variants of the Jupiter on sale right now, with prices ranging from ₹ 63,497 to ₹ 72,472. The standard model is priced at ₹ 65,497, the ZX variant is priced at ₹ 68,247 while the ZX disc brake variant is priced at ₹ 72,347. Lastly, the top-spec Jupiter Classic variant is priced at ₹ 72,472. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
