I feel the harman kardon system in the storme should be more than enough for a normal audiophile unless you want to make your car sound like a discotheque. I would not have changed my audio setup.

You can have a reverse camera attached separately (the one which fits on IVRM)

Also would advice you to go for HD car DVR.

Harman system is better than most stock audio's, but when you crank up the volume midway there is a bit of distortion.
I am planing to upgrade the speakers & add a 10" sub.
I have added following accessories.

  1. full floor matting (faux leather )
  2. floor noodle mat
  3. Seat cover (fabric)
planned to install

  1. rear bumper guard (read below)
  2. 4 hella 500ff or 700ff
All the best for your new purchase, wish you many a safe miles.
Thanks.
yes 6 speed GB & 400nm torque is the reason for getting VX.
Superb photography too ! Wishing you safe and happy miles ahead.
Thanks.
awaiting for the detailed comparison of Strome and XUV.
Xuv is for expressways (stiff suspension) , safari is meant for state highways & broken roads. (softer suspension)
Keep the thread updated.
Thanks.
My My !!!! terrano looks like a baby infront of Safari !!! and you have an excellent garage! [clap]
yes & also better VFM than terrano/duster

Update:

The current odo is at 18,500km.
I have changed the oil at 5000km as suggested by Behram sir , next oil change at 20k km.
issues so far

  1. Fuel flap solenoid replace under warranty:mad:
  2. middle row arm rest lock broken since day one (promised to be replaced)

MM,
Thats absolutely Great.
Your story is just like mine.
My Love for safari started way back in early 90s.
We had a 1.9L TCIC safari, Used for 1.6 lac km before selling.
Then Brought 3.0L CRDI. The Large engine is a rare gem & An Absolute beast to drive. you can Almost launch the car in 3rd gear.

I' looking forward to a used 4x4 Dicor for some fun.
Any suggestions?

Apart from small niggles (which were sorted) the ownership have been great.
Now waiting for Hexa.
Hi,

No.
But we always have did first oil change at 5000km with our mahindras.
Even Behram sir recommended it , he said its not necessay but it will give you peace of mind.
(all our mahindra vehicles did 1.5L km+ so we continued the tradition.)
Congrats Jeepster,
Your TorqueMonster really a gorgeous monster[:D],
Please add your reviews on Black Xenon also in your thread.
Thanks.

Update:
The middle row armrest was replaced.
A TATA employee Personally carried the Armrest from pune to supervise the replacement job & take additional feed back from me.[clap]
