Jeep Compass Limited Plus launch price Rs 21 L to 23 L – First Look Video

Jeep has finally launched the much awaited top of the line Limited Plus variant of the Compass in India. Bookings have started, while deliveries will commence soon from dealers across India.

2018 Jeep Compass Limited Plus variant is seen with new features. The biggest attraction will be a panoramic sunroof which is set to instantly appeal to buyers in the country. Other features on this top of the range SUV will include dual tone interiors, electrically adjustable front seats, auto headlamps and rain sensing wipers.

It also gets new 18” alloy wheels. Jeep Compass Limited Plus will also sport Fiat Chrysler Automobiles 8.4” Uconnect infotainment system making it the largest touchscreen in its segment.

FCA India President and Managing Director, Kevin Flynn, said, “When we launched the Jeep Compass in August 2017 we were determined to keep setting new standards with our product quality and continuously make it more desirable for customers. The Limited Plus package is an important step in that direction. We have completed the manufacturing of more than 37,000 Jeep Compass and have exported 10,000 in just over 12 months of it being in the market. We have now extended our export commitment to 13 international right-hand drive markets, with more markets planned in the near future.”

Prices of 2018 Jeep Compass Limited Plus;

Diesel 6 MT 4×2 – Rs 21.07 lakhs
Petrol 7 AT 4×2 – Rs 21.41 lakhs
DIesel 6 MT 4×4 – Rs 22.85 lakhs
All prices are ex-showroom.

Limited Plus variant of Jeep Compass will include with both petrol and diesel engine options. The 1.4 liter, turbocharged petrol unit will offer 160 bhp power and 250 Nm torque mated to a 7 speed twin clutch automatic gearbox. The 2.0 liter turbocharged diesel engine will be capable of 170 bhp power and 350 Nm torque mated to a 6 speed manual. The diesel variant will see options of both front and all wheel drive systems.

Interiors are seen in black with red accents on seats giving it a sporty stance.

Jeep Compass Diesel recalled in India

Jeep has issued an official notice to all its dealerships asking them to recall the diesel variant of the Jeep Compass SUV. The recall will be done on vehicles manufactured from 18 December 2017 to 30 November 2018. Jeep will recall more than 11,000 vehicles produced during this time. The reason behind the recall is an emission issue, where some of the vehicles manufactured during this period may exceed the regulatory threshold for Particulate Matter emissions. Jeep plans to fix this by reprogramming the ECU with latest software update.

Jeep has now announced additional warranty of two years or 1,50,000 km on the Jeep Compass SUV. This is over and above the standard warranty, which runs for 3 years/100,000 Kms. New Jeep Compass Sport Plus variant coming soon

New exterior features on the new variant will include 16-inch alloy wheels, black moulding around the rear windshield, black roof rails, reverse parking sensors and ‘Sport Plus’ badging on tailgate. The cabin of the Compass Sport Plus will feature a 5.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system and dual-zone climate control that can also be operated via the touchscreen display. Standard equipment from the Compass Sport like dual airbags, ABS, ESC, traction control, daytime running lamps, front and rear armrests, electrically adjustable ORVMs and remote keyless entry, will be carried over.

Jeep Compass Sport Plus Launched In India; Prices Start At ₹ 15.99 Lakh

The Jeep Compass Sport Plus has been launched in India at ₹ 15.99 lakh for the petrol variant and ₹ 16.99 lakh for the diesel variant. (ex-showroom, Delhi)

The Sport Plus variant of the Compass has been positioned above the base Sport variant and is more feature-rich. The added exterior kit includes 16-inch alloy wheels finished in silver, black roof rails and rear parking sensors. The rear windscreen, pillars and window fringes are also finished in black. Jeep Compass Trailhawk has remained one of the most-awaited upcoming cars in the Indian market for quite some time now. Jeep has been manufacturing the Trailhawk-rated Compass in India for the export markets and finally, the vehicle will be launched in the market by June or July this year. Jeep Compass Trailhawk Listed On India website, Confirms 9-Speed Automatic

The Jeep Compass Trailhawk has been listed on the automaker's website, ahead of its launch scheduled sometime in July this year. The off-road ready version of the compact SUV has been long-awaited and will be bringing some freshness to the offering that was first launched in 2017. The website listing also confirms major details on the SUV including the exterior changes and the addition of a 9-speed automatic transmission on offer, paired with the diesel engine. The Compass Trailhawk will be the new range-topping variant in the SUV's line-up and bookings are unofficially open across FCA's dealerships across the country.
