Well I have noticed in my new i10 era that in neutral, the idle rpm is around 600 rpm but when in a gear, rpm reaches to 1000.Is it normal??

Yeah.. Once you crank your engine, your tacho revs upto 1000rpm & then comes to 800rpm in Kappa.

Once you move on, minimum rpm is set to 1000rpm.

Yes, Alok, this is a normal behaviour. When the engine is just started, it starts with a higher rpm which settles down after idling.

When the engine is cold , the ecu will adjust rpm/idle speed. it will be slightly more to warm up the engine.

similaly when you switch in the ac there is significant increase in idle rpm.

as long as the car do not stall , your car is fine , the ecm will increase and decrease the rpm /idling according to its need.

Similarly if you notice the same after some time of travelling say about a hr in ac , its ac cut off function
So do not worry at all

Alok, even I was surprised for the first time. Your car's behaviour regarding rpm is normal. Do not worry.
