ICE Suggestions For Maruti Omni

My Car:Maruti Omni 2017 (Brought in Feb 2018)

> Budget Range:7000

> Looking For (Full Setup, Head Unit etc.):Full Setup

> Preferred Brands (If any):Pioneer HU with Sony Speakers or Pioneer

> Preferred Music Genre: Soft

> Existing Audio Setup:NIL

> Misc. Details / Specific Questions: In omni we cannot install speakers in dashboard it seems, dealer advises we can go for front doors or in dicky luggage space with grill. Which will be best? Front doors or back dicky? Pioneer Hu with Maruti speakers 7000 my dealer said but we are going to ask for sony or pioneer speakers. Another option is maruti Hu with maruti speakers for 5000, it is coming for omni cargo it seems? What to go for? Kindly Advise

Hi Altok10sathya, congratulation for your Omni.
Pioneer HU's are very reliable,they have superior sound output and many HU's are compatible with Omni dashboard.
You can put 4"inch oval speakers in the front doors and 6*9"inch speakers in a box in the rear boot. Lots of space available in an Omni.
Go for after-market products and fittings,much better.

Maybe, did you cross check the model price in the market?
After market installation would be more precise and finer then showroom,IMHO
I HAVE DONE IT TWICE ON MY CAR, NO COMPLAINTS AND ISSUES.

Thank you but cost wise there is no much difference in after market.

On sound quality you will feel the difference between Maruti speakers and others.

For 7k you could add a HU & 1 pair of speaker only. If you could add another 2k you may consider the below spec
HU : Sony DSX-A100U (supports FLAC) or a deckless HU from Pioneer
Front Speaker : 5.25" or 6.5" Co-ax from Pioneer / Sony / JBL
Rear Speaker : 6x9" from Pioneer / Sony, boxed in the boot

hello sathya. 7k is very tight budget for the whole ICE setup. if you can stretch it up to 10k that will be nice. if you want pioneer , jvc , sony etc. then you have to spend 4 to 5k for headunit alone. for 2k you will get single pair of basic speakers from these brands. let me know if you can spend some more cash or not. then i will suggest accordingly.

Well, congrats on your new acquisition.

I may sound cynical, but please do upgrade your tyres first. Please share which brand and sized tyres they deliver it to buyers.
