ICE For Skoda Fabia

Hello everyone,

So I'm getting good deal on amazon.com (almost like 50% off on all items which ships to India).

I was looking to upgrade my ICE. I'm not sure what all is required & that's why I'm here. HU for sure. Subwoofers? Amp? Basstube?

I'm looking for loud bass like *booooom* *boooom* when I play some track with kickass drop.

PS: I'll order a $25 item for whoever offers me the best advice.

As per norms of CBEC you can import anything as a gift worth upto 10K INR once a year without attracting customs duty. Otherwise they'll levy hefty amount as duty+charges/retention. Sometimes they'll ask you to come to their office.

I suggest you to purchase and install all necessary components in India only.
If you are ready to purchase components in India, need some more information about your requirements like-
1. Total Price limit (including labour, wiring etc.,)
2.HU - Price limit,Touchscreen size, Bluetooth, navigation, dvd, steering mounted controls working etc.,
3. Does your car has warranty ?

Never heard about this type of offer from amazon US. Check T&C once.

Further questions (Cost reduction) -
1. What do you want from this stereo / What are you planning to gain ?
2. Do you want to remove your OEM stereo completely ?
3. Do you just want bass with your OEM stereo ?
4. Do you just want to improve sound quality and levels ?
5. Others requirements.

Generally in any ICE builds there are 4 tiers build -

1. Subwoofer and amplifier build.
With 2 Channel amp = Bridgemode for Sub
with mono amp = single channel
2. Subwoofer + amplifier + speakers.
with 4 channel amp = 2 Front Speakers + Bridgemode for Sub
With 5 Channel amp = (2F+2R) Speakers + Sub (low power)
3. Custom build. This has combination of mono and channel amps for all speakers and subwoofer.
4. Just component speakers with 4 channel amp


For HU, make sure you get one with 3 RCA pre-out.

For Skoda Fabia my suggestion is to get build no:
4 for improving sound quality by replacing OEM speakers
1 for improving bass with oem speakers.
2 for complete stereo upgrade [Check alternator max output]
3 never


Check with your local dealer to get idea about speaker size. Subwoofer takes up a lot of space, so make sure you have an idea of it.
