HOLLYWOOD, Calif. – Hyundai Motor revealed today the first images of the all-new 2021 Elantra. The upcoming seventh-generation Elantra showcases an edgy and aggressive look based on parametric shapes and textures, which reflects Hyundai’s new design identity. The world premiere press conference will take place at 7 p.m. PT on Mar. 17, at

The Lot Studios in West Hollywood, Calif. and will be livestreamed around the world.

The livestream, a sneak preview video and teaser images can be viewed at www.hyundai.com/worldwide/ and Hyundai’s social media channels.

The all-new 2021 Elantra’s design accentuates its progressive and exotic character through Parametric Dynamics. Cutting edge engineering solutions and design innovations actualized the polyhedral appearance. Essentially, advanced digital design technology brought the Parametric Dynamics design language to life. Having three lines meet at one point is the main element of Parametric Dynamics. This formation is a daring challenge, which has been avoided in car design, marking Elantra’s disrupter-spirit.

The ‘Immersive Cocoon’ interior layout creates a driver-focused user experience. Low and wide structures go from the door and connect all the way to the center console, while the large interface consisting of two harmoniously integrated displays elevates the racing-inspired feel of the car.

2021 Hyundai Elantra Sedan Looks Good, Adds a Hybrid Version

Hyundai's redesigned 2021 Elantra sedan is trying to make a big splash in the compact-sedan segment, just as its Sonata sibling did recently in the mid-size sedan segment. The new Elantra boasts a striking design, an advanced assortment of tech features, and a new hybrid model that promises 50 mpg combined.

40590-2021elantra-1584497300.jpg?crop=0.750xw:0.686xh;0.141xw,0.jpg

With a more rakish overall shape, aggressively angular side surfacing, and modern-looking headlights and taillights, the new Elantra looks compelling. It's now one of the largest sedans in the compact segment, as it's 2.2 inches longer, 1 inch wider, and has an 0.8 inch longer wheelbase compared with its predecessor. This benefits legroom in the rear seat, while headroom back there remains the same as before despite the swoopier roofline.

An Elantra hybrid is a new addition and not a surprising one given that the Toyota Corolla now offers a hybrid variant and the Honda Insight is essentially a Civic hybrid. The Elantra hybrid pairs a 1.6-liter inline-four gas engine with a 43-horsepower electric motor for a combined 139 horsepower. A six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission should make for a fairly different driving experience than those Toyota and Honda hybrids, which don't use transmissions with fixed gears. Hyundai promises a combined EPA rating of "more than" 50 mpg; the Corolla hybrid and Insight are rated at up to 52 mpg combined.

While we haven't had the chance to sit inside the new Elantra, its cabin is making a big step up both in terms of design and available technology. There's an option for a two-screen display layout that's Mercedes-like in that it incorporates two huge 10.25-inch screens under a single continuous piece of glass. One screen is a digital gauge cluster in front of the driver and the other is an infotainment touchscreen in the center stack.

Front-end is remarkably similar to Maserati’s design language. It’s also quite different from what Hyundai is incorporating on its latest SUVs. Nevertheless, Elantra still looks stunning like its predecessors.

Catch the very first video of the all-new Hyundai Elantra in action

The Elantra competes with cars like Skoda Octavia, Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla Altis in the segment. Hyundai has not confirmed anything about bringing the new Elantra to India but we expect it to be launched here by 2021. Here we have a detailed video of the 2021 Hyundai Elantra that shows how this all-new premium sedan looks from the outside and inside.

The video shows how the new Elantra looks like. This is the seventh generation of the Elantra that Hyundai will be launching and the front of this all-new car looks very busy. It has sharp lines, a wide gloss black grille, all LED headlamps, distinctly designed fog lamp area a bumper lip and a huge Huge Hyundai logo above the grille.

The India-bound premium sedan was unveiled last month alongside Elantra Hybrid at The Lot Studios in West Hollywood in a special event. The 2021 Hyundai Avante or Elantra has been priced at just KRW 15.31 million, which is approximately ₹ 9.52 lakh. 2021 Hyundai Elantra Will Add a Sporty N Line Model

2021-hyundai-newelantranlinemodel-1588035226.jpg?crop=0.760xw:0.760xh;0.121xw,0.jpg

Hyundai's recently revealed 2021 Elantra compact sedan will be getting an N Line variant, much like its Sonata mid-size sedan sibling is getting, to join the existing Elantra GT N Line hatchback. Hyundai's N Line models feature N-specific design elements along with performance upgrades but aren't as hard-hitting as its N models, such as the Veloster N.

rge-40908-hyundaipreviewsall-newelantranlinemodel-1588081073.jpg?crop=0.876xw:0.804xh;0.0612xw,0.jpg

The new Elantra is 2.2 inches longer, 1 inch wider, and has an 0.8-inch-longer wheelbase compared to the previous model. Thankfully, the N Line will keep the new model's aggressive styling such as the angular side surfacing and the modernized headlights and taillights, but it also gets larger alloy wheels and a lowered sport suspension along with other chassis upgrades.

The 2021 Elantra will go on sale in the U.S. later this year, so we expect to see the N Line model follow shortly after. We anticipate that the new Elantra will start at around $20,000, so expect the N Line to cost close to $27,000 to compete with the likes of the Honda Civic Si and Volkswagen Jetta GLI.

2021 Hyundai Elantra N Line Looks Perfectly Aggressive

2021-hyundai-elantra-n-line-101-1594215509.jpg?crop=0.jpg
  • Hyundai teased the upcoming 2021 Elantra N Line compact sedan, and we like the way that it looks.
  • It hasn't shared details on the N Line's powertrain, but we expect it to be a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder paired with a dual-clutch automatic transmission.
  • The Elantra N Line is meant to be an entry point to Hyundai's N brand and should start around $27,000.
Hyundai has been making quite the statement with its bold new designs, and the 2021 Elantra is one of the many. When we first saw the new compact sedan's absurdly angular side profile and modern headlights and tail lights, we were instantly hooked. Now, with the sportier N Line model, the 2021 Elantra is getting even more enticing.

2021-hyundai-elantra-n-line-102-1594215519.jpg?crop=0.jpg

Now one of the largest sedans in the compact segment, the new Elantra is 2.2 inches longer, an inch wider, and 0.8 inch longer, so it already has a solid stance. The Elantra N Line's behemoth grille gets a more angular pattern with N Line badging, and two lower air intakes are added. The mirrors, window accents, and side skirts are all finished in gloss black, and it gets larger 18-inch wheels with bigger brakes. Out back, is a more prominent rear diffuser and a dual-exit exhaust.

The 2021 Hyundai Elantra N Line is meant to be an entry point to the high-performance N brand, and we should know more about the sporty compact sedan soon. Expect to see it arrive in dealers early next year with a starting price around $27,000.
