16.5-17.5km/l in city(3rd & 4th gear at 35-45 km/h),
20km/l in highway at 110 km/h and 22.4km/l at 90km/h.
No issues except soft suspension. very nice car . .

Did you just check the Oil Minister's proposal to hike the Taxes for Diesel Cars.

Hatchback - Rs.170000

Sedan and above - Rs.255000.

Special Excise tax to compensate for the Diesel Subsidy.
What a nonsense? I think this congress govt will make us beg on road one day.
Their rule will surely end with this term. Like how a burning candle glows brightly before it burns off, its the same thing with this congress.
Sorry for going off track.

If it comes to effect this car will cost Rs 14.60Lacs.

What do you all say? will the govt implement it?

I spoke to the Hyundai people, they said they cannot confirm if it will not be raised or not.!

Just tensed...! Hope for the best.

I do not think they'll raise the price immediately, given the tough time govt. is going through (coalition govts. ). I am certain it won't happen this year. All the best!!

It was really sky high until Jaipal Reddy (Not a Pal at all) announced his proposal to increase the Diesel Taxes.

But, hoping for the best.

Else, I will have to cancel the booking, as it would cost 14.60Lacs for me.

The car's pretty good Vickky - except for a few niggles here and there like the FE, fragile bumpers etc. But each time I sit in the car and start driving, the car makes me love her more

Yes Aristo, very true.

No car comes perfect, and if there is a perfect car, there will be imperfect drivers. I have driven Accent and Old Verna, even they have fragile component like verna, it all depends how we drive and on what we crash.

Once I rammed a Innova and my accent's Bumper was showing of its six pack strength, but the same car hit a dog on the highway and the Bumper broke and got entangled inside the front wheel. The doggy escaped with minor injuries but he was back in action by the time I left. So it depends on the nature of impact an angle too..

Innova was straight and dog was angular towards the edge.

So I'm least worried if my bumper will break or will be strong. I really appreciate your positiveness.

Finally...The long waiting sees light at the end of the tunnel.

The Sales Manager called me and told " Sir, we have a good news for you". Your Verna is on the way.

Totally excited as well as anxious for the final day.

Thank you guys for making my waiting period a good experience. thanks for being with me for all my queries and your sincere advises.
