Planning to do a return trip from Hyderabad to Kerala in next week.
Would like to know about the road condition and stops for refreshment on the way.
How to avoid Bangalore traffic. Is there any route to avoid Bangalore City?

Destination is in Palakkad district.
Its 1016 Km one way.
I drive only in day time. Done 900 Km at a stretch earlier.
If I have to cross Bangalore City, then prefer to stay in Bangalore and continue the trip next day early morning.

That would be the ideal plan. Stay in Bangalore (preferably somewhere in outer ring road) and start early in the morning so that you can avoid the Bangalore morning traffic.
There is an alternate route bypassing Bangalore - you will have to divert from the highway after Chikkaballapura, then pass through Malur and then join the highway at Shoolagiri. Not aware of the road condition now. Since you anyway plan for a night halt, would recommend doing that in Bangalore, that way your whole drive would be on highway.

If you are planning a break post Bangalore, I would suggest to break near Hosur. Claresta is a good one, may be a bit expensive. You can check it out.

Bypass Bangalore. Devanahalli - Hoskote - Chikka Thirupathi - Bagalur - Hosur, is an option. However some parts are being expanded, relaid, and full of village traffic. Though challenges, it is much better than the city driving itself. Even the outer ring road or Varthur Main road isn't worth it (unless you are reaching Devanahalli post 9pm).

Booked in Chancery Pavilion, Residency Road for return trip.
While going, plan is to reach Bangalore by noon on Sunday and visiting a friend near Thippasandra (Indira Nagar 80 ft. road)
Tata Harrier is ready for the first long trip.

Awesome vehicle, Harrier. Looks very good in real life! If it is a Sunday noon, you can drive through the city itself, take the ring road from Esteem Mall & get down before KR Puram...and go towards the city for Indira Nagar 80ft road. Post your friend's visit, you can take the inner ring road to reach Madiwala & drive to Claresta for overnight stay! From Indira Nagar to Claresta, it might take about 1.5+ hrs on a Sunday evening. Definitely take the elevated expressway (from Silk Board to Electronic City), it definitely helps.

U Turn before KR Puram bridge: Its a bit tricky. Once you get down from the Ring Road, (Tin Factory Bus Stop), keep to your right, there is a u turn there itself. Otherwise, the U Turn below the KR Puram bridge will cost you easily 10min more, on a easy day. On a busy day, it might cost 30min.
