Hi, need to know as how to check vehicle loan status online or find out if there is a loan on a vehicle, if cleared what should be taken care before buying a vehicle from the seller.

You can check the same from RC book as if the car was financed then the RC copy has the Mark of Hypothication-Yes and in that case you need to take NOC issued from the concern financier from the previous owner.

In the Registrtion Book ( RC book) that is the Smart card of vehicle contains hypothecation Column. If the vehicle carry any loan the Bank name is mentioned over there, if name is mentioned you need to verify the NOC obtained from the bank.

In KA RC Cards there is no column for Hyphenation. You have to check from RTO.

Through RC card it may be difficult,but if the vehicle is hypothicated to banks it will be shown in the insurance also.Just by looking in to the insurance certificate also we can know the status.

Go to the RTO webiste, click on the 'Vehicle details' and provide your Vehicle Regn No etc and then you will get full RC details which may also show the Hypothication details, if any.
