How much BHP is enough for Indian roads?

Well if you have to comply to the speed limitations and rules even 80BHP is more than enough because most of the roads have the speed limits upto 80kmph only.


Most of the road users never drive at 80kmph always so i feel 150BHP is the maximum and more than enough IMO. Anything above 120kmph can be suicidal in our Indian roads and traffic conditions!

Oops sorry man didn't notice it! Well i am not much of a biker guy and i always ride my bike slow so even 20BHP is enough for me!

By that logic, the new Ninja 650R and the Hyosung 650 are crap.

20 is more than enough, given the I.Q and pea-brainedness of the average bloke who rides a bike. They already kill themselves and others with 7 Bhp. For experts I'd say 60 or 80 maybe.

I agree with Jalex. If we take into account the kind of traffic sense people have, 20BHP is just enough. However if we take into account the highway drives, city drives etc, i feel 70-80BHP is enough to suffice the driver in you.

Agree dude..for normal indian bike, 20 to 60 HP is more than enough!!
