that takes the top end version to be 11.5 lakhs on-road, base version costing 9.5 lakhs, on-road! what is honda thinking??? cant blame them when the car sells like hot cakes.

moreover the alloys look very boring. the ones on the thailand version were much much better.

Boy, this is news!! So many honda city versions on the roads now. God alone knows how the second hand car market valuation will be evaluated with so many versions.

City Goes Cheaper!

I recently came to know that Honda has released a stripped down version of city which is called the "E" variant and comes at Rs. 7.94 Lakhs (Ex. Showroom Delhi). Some of the cost cutting involves black plastic work on exteriors as well as interiors along with dull gray looking seat covers. More details can be found on official website : Honda City India .

Am not so sure black bumpers will looks so good on the Honda.
Maybe the targeted segment is the luxury taxi segment, but in that case, the lack of a diesel will hurt.

With the dying sales of Jazz, It became necessary for Honda to offer the big discount to regenerate all the excitement. About the Honda City it is a great move, City is one of the finest car in segment but pricing was too steep, Though we can see it was selling despite of this fact and hey, I don’t think the Bumpers are black, the other plastic work on exteriors such as door handles, ORVM shell etc are not body colored.
