The Honda CBR150R will be priced below Rs. 1.20 lakhs. The Honda CBR150R produces 19.5 BHP of peak power at 10500 RPM and 17 Nm of peak torque at 8500 RPM. It is mated to a 6-speed manual fearbox and weighs just 138 kgs.

Honda has also launched a 110cc Dio and 110cc Dream Yuga motorcycle. The 110cc Dream Yuga is a commuter motorcycle, meant to get Honda the volumes in India

1.20 lakhs for 150CC? I agree with surfer its pricy & when we already have so many people able to buy 180CC for less than 1lakh then why would anyone want a 150CC for 1.20 lakhs unless that guy is a Honda fan boy

Re: Honda launches 150R

WHY?

I fail to understand the strategy behind this launch.

What are they competing with Yamaha R15, Pulsar 220, Karizma ZMR??

It should have been between 85k to 95k for the above to happen, I guess.

Since this is the only closest-relevant thread, I'm sharing a couple of snaps from Honda's stall at Auto Expo 2012. Don't have much of them:

IMO this bike is worth it's price if compared to R15. I really liked it's look, compact and sexy!

That's a nice bike with very good looks and will be a tough competitor for the R15.

+1.
For 1.5L, CBR 250 looks more VFM thaan 150.
But I feel that those looking for looks + mileage may buy this if mileage is around 50 km/l.
My Unicorn is 142 kgs heavy and gives astounding mileage of 60 kmpl,so this bike should also give similar mileage or even better as its lighter lighter than Unicorn. But still 16K expensive in my book[frustration].

Guys got the opportunity to check CBR 150 in person today.First impressions:

1. It looks awesome, and I would consider this to be the best looking 150cc bike available in our market.Infact I felt that thanks to sharper front and black mesh mag wheels,it even looks better than CBR250,which is a big thing IMHO especially in premium bike segment.

2. Rear mono shock is little vertical and easily visible from outside unlike CBR250's mono-shock which is tucked quite well under the frontseats and between the swing arms.

3. Bike is very light and riding position is very good (USP of every Honda bike),so no chance of back pain even after long drives.

4. The repsol orange white combo looks menacing and at your face.

5. The bike felt much lighter than 250.

Ex showroom price was 1,21,000 in my city, which is the only downside of this bike.

I think the price is too much expensive, as far as my concern, the bikes are really cool this bikes could be come in more affordable price.
