2020 Honda Jazz Rendered With New Design; Global Debut Likely This Year

2020-Honda-Jazz-Rendered-1-1068x758.jpg

The rendering posted here will show you some idea of how the hatchback will look like but we believe it does not do justice to all the upcoming changes. The 2020 Honda Jazz or Fit has a wider stance and due to the cosmetic upgrades, the overall sportiness has been increased by a certain extent. The digital image was created by Kleber Silva, a Brazilian artist.

The fourth-gen Honda Jazz gets fresh styling inside out. At the front, it gets a more rounded look with larger headlamps that look a bit similar to the second-generation car. The headlights get projector units with LED headlamps and DRLs with black inserts. The front bumper is more squarish now, with prominent black inserts and a honeycomb mesh design for the fog lamp inserts and air dam.

All-new 2020 Honda Jazz: specs and launch date

2fj_ct_front_34_v1_ext_2carsv1_lr.jpg

The all-new Honda Fit, better known to UK motorists as the Honda Jazz, is due to go on sale during the summer of this year, with a new platform, a host of fresh technology and a two-motor e:HEV hybrid drive system. Honda even plans to release an unusual Jazz Crosstar crossover variant, in an attempt to muscle-in on the Nissan Juke’s territory.

The design of the new, standard-issue Jazz will be familiar to existing owners. Like the old model, it features a one-box MPV-like shape, which Honda says maximises interior space. The A-pillars have also been slimmed down, in a move that both improves the view out of the windscreen and increases the rigidity of the bodyshell.

Inside, Honda has looked to retain the previous Jazz model's impressive cabin space while adding more advanced technology. The hybrid drive system has been located within the chassis and the engine bay with the fuel tank mounted in the middle of the car to avoid impacting on the room available for passengers.

The cabin gets a central display screen with three large physical air-conditioning controls below and a digital instrument cluster ahead of the driver. Honda tells us that the touchscreen offers smartphone-style swipe controls and that both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are built in. For the first time, these and other downloadable apps will be operable in the car via a wireless connection.

The 2020 Honda Jazz is pretty well kitted-out when it comes to comfort and convenience enhancing features. The list of goodies includes LED headlamps, LED foglamps, LED taillamps, 16-inch alloy wheels, 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio and telephone controls, leather seat upholstery, and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster.

The new Jazz has gone on sale in Japan in five trim options, viz.- Basic, Home, Ness, Crosstar, and Luxe. Out of these, the Crosstar is a pseudo-crossover variant that looks a tad more rugged. Like we said, currently, there are no plans for launching this car in India but it surely looks like a worthy rival to hot-sellers like Maruti Baleno and Hyundai Elite i20.

The exterior does'nt look at all good to me. The current Jazz is much more angular and nice. The Cross version still looks decent enough. Hopefully the interiors remain the same as seen in the pictures.

2020 Honda Jazz (New-Gen Honda Fit) Launched In Japan

View attachment 270756
The ugliest iteration of the Jazz. The Jazz so far in it's earlier outings even in India hasn't ever looked as ugly as this international spec. The rear is still good and interiors are fine but front is a eyesore. In the Indian context, Honda has just 2 staples i.e CITY & Amaze and nothing else has sold in volumes for them in past 3-4 years.

Regards
Akash

New 2020 Honda Jazz: UK prices and specs

Honda jazz group main.jpg

This is the new Honda Jazz. Based on a new platform and powered by a new two-motor petrol-hybrid powertrain, it’s on sale in the UK now priced from £18,980 for the entry-level SE model. First deliveries are expected to arrive during the summer of this year.

Honda’s mid-range Jazz SR is priced from £20,180, while the well equipped EX model starts from £21,380. Another new addition to the Jazz range is the SUV-inspired Crosstar EX, priced from £23,580, which will attempt to muscle-in on the Nissan Juke’s territory.

Things get a little more rugged with the Jazz Crosstar model, which features new bolt-on roof rails, two-tone paint, a unique front grille design, an elevated ride height and black plastic cladding around its wheel arches that contribute to its mini-SUV flavour. Honda also informs us that the Crosstar’s interior features “water-resistant upholstery,” presumably in case you exceed the car’s maximum wading depth, or spill your cappuccino.

Buyers can also choose from Honda’s range of “Premium” paint options – all of which add £550 to the Jazz’s list price. Options include Platinum White, Shining Grey, Midnight Blue Beam and Surf Blue. Honda also offers a couple of “Premium+” colour schemes, including Premium Crystal Red and Premium Sunlight White, which are priced at £650 each.
